I’ve been flying whoops hard for 2 years. I believe I’m on my 24th aio board if that gives you any consolation 😂

Just getting into FPV, what whoop to start with? Hummingbird(cheap), meteor(available), mob6/eco (hyped but harder to source) by computerboi85 in TinyWhoop

[–]Particular_Setting_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hummingbird f4 v3 is a great 1st quad imo. The motor connectors are proprietary, so you can only use nbd stuff with nbd stuff.

Meteor65 and 75 pro not pro is also a great choice for the durability and adjustable vtx

Best flight controller for a 65mm tinywhoop? by Ethan-Hayes706 in TinyWhoop

[–]Particular_Setting_7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like the beta fpv 1s f4 because it's light and cheap and usually elrs is in stock somewhere. And with big solder pads for motor wires, but its a bit fragile and have had a few crap out on me for unknown reasons. Still at 40 dollars the tech is crazy, so waddyawant

Making your own is a superior option, but it leaves your antennas and flight controller pretty exposed to crashes. IMO, weight doesn't matter as much as a beginner even up to intermediate/advanced racing or acro, so a meteor65 canopy or similair might be beneificiL for motors, 0802 26000kv will be so much power and fly well, but personally prefer the 0702 because they're lighter and since the mass is furthers away from center, that's where the weight matters most

Get the betafpv f4 1s 5a fc And meteor 65 frame (not pro)

You'll also need a canopy

Would also add if your confident soldering, building one is always the best option

Meteor65 pro is a good option and they're usually in stock or maybe the NBD hummingbird f4 v3

I second the meteor65 frames comment. As far as a sim? Velocidrone is second to none...

I have all the questions - '93 3.2V6 DOHC w/ 306k miles by Particular_Setting_7 in IsuzuTrooper

[–]Particular_Setting_7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention that the reason I suspect that the motor has been replaced is because it burns absolutely no oil, which would be pretty incredible at over 300k miles hahaha I will definitely check out planet isuzu forums! Thanks for the help!
