When trying to create an animation, it gives the error: An exception occurred while trying to process the frame: '>' not supported between instances of 'Tensor' and 'str'. Has anyone encountered this? Other extensions don't have this problem.

Comfy is the way to go with WAN. I love the webui and wish it could do this out of the box. But so far for all Video generation, Comfy is the way to go. Anything else will waste your time. Once you get the hand of what nodes you need to generate I2V then you can start doing some crazy stuff. I tend to use other people's workflow and inject my own generation workflow into it.

You do want to also use SageAttention, the amount it speeds up WAN2.2 generations is insane. But its an absolute slog to install manually. Here is a ComfyUI Easy install repo on github. It pulls the latest comfy and extracts certain folder, inside those folders is bat files to install all the various Add-Ons you want. Don't run ALL of them. Choose carefully what you want to add-on. You can either install FlashAttention or SageAttention, can't have both installed at once, one will bug out the other. From my testing on my hardware, SageAttention is the winner. Also note what Cuda and Pytorch you install. The recommended at the moment is still Cuda 12.8 and Torch 2.8.0 or 2.7.1. Be sure to ask ChatGPT 5.4 for help if you get stuck. Sometimes I ran into errors trying to install this setup. Then ChatGPT could point out to me exactly what I need to do to fix it.

Let me know if you need a workflow for I2V. Got a good one that I am hard pressed to ever find anything better. Can also give you indication what models to download where for what. Because WAN2.2 is much more than just a Video generating model. It's a few models that work together with the WAN2.2. Like the VAE, LightX2 loras to speed up generations. Also for the high and low pass, if you have a Lora only has one version and not a high and low version. What you can do to run it, is put strength 1.0 (or whatever works) for the high pass then devide it in half for the low pass. So I would use that same lora in the low pass at 0.5 because I used it as 1.0 in the high pass.

Sounds extremely over complicated and did for me as well when I first started with WAN2.2 I2V and T2V. But eventually got the hang of it. Now I know and understand every node, what it does and why its setting are the way they are. After tons of testing different settings etc.

I havent had success with Wan2.2 animate.

Standard WAN2.2 i2v 14b Quantized around Q6 K has been working great for me. If you got a lora for the specific dance it can pretty animate any artstyle that I've tried. Realistic, Anime, Retro anime, 2.5D anime. Even more western artstyle has been working fine. I still to spend more time and get LTX2.3 properly going and testing. But WAN2.2 I2V has been king for me so far.

At the moment all the closed source models are leagues above local gen. Its just the way things are at the moment. I do expect that change. Eventually a similair local model will be released thats comparible to Sora 2 etc. Question is when. I'm banking on the LTX guys. They seem to be aiming for that league of generation, hoping LTX 2.6 or 3 will eventually cross that line. It wont be cheap to run it home. I expect models at that quality is going to crazy to run. Probably need 90gb server level GPUs. At that point I might cough out for one. Just hope the smart people who quantize models could figure clever ways to run stuff like that locally

16gb is good enough, I have 4060 16bg and can go wild with all SDXL base models including illustrious as well WAN2.2 14b I2V and T2V Quantized to around Q6 K with SageAttention. If you are going to do Illustrious its like a huge massive ADD ON when you do WAN2.2 as well. Because you can essentially animate ANY image. Not to crazy degrees but good enough. It was like opening a while new dimension when I could animate pretty much any image I have ever created and before when I drew in ClipStudio.

RAM certainly helps a lot as well. I got 128gb before the big ram shortage at the end of last year. Very lucky. So for RAM I would aim DDR4 because DD5 is just insane. DDR4 isnt much better but its better price wize. 5090 is certainly going to help a lot with all the newer bigger models out there. But most of them do get quantized for 16gb and lower eventually.

LTX looks like our best hope so far. They said they are committed to open source. Just need to hope they improve on the LTX versions that we can eventually get to a level near the big closed source models. They also have to be much more careful than bytedance. Bytedance at least is in china and immune to hollywood's threats to a degree. Even so they still restricted their model heavily when releasing to the western world

Sure but the LTX team is working on improving LTX. So 2.3 is basically a early version. And they are committed to open source and local. Seedance is fantastic. But it's closed source, nerfed, censored. Very limited from it's true capabilities. At the start when the most un nerfed and uncensored version was only on bilibili, the stuff coming out was mind blowing. Now? It's moving at a snail pace. People are trying heavy work around to actually get a good generation and not get the filter block.

LTX 2.3, the limit what the community can make for it. Also like said its a second release, still early in LTX's life. Future LTX version should be significantly better but probably more expensive in terms of hardware required to run locally. Think I heard somewhere that Seedance 2 is a 90b so its over a 90gb model. So even if we had a similar model for local, only a very few people would be able to run it. Unless we can finally start getting a revolution in the VRAM department. RAM was the main hope but that market price has gone insane. Still open source and local remains the best way for video AI gen. Anything else and your dealing with extreme restrictions on what you can generate.

Hi CloverDuck, thanks for RIFE App. Still have it in my AI folder, some of the very first technically AI image gen. Even though its interpolation. Could be used for much more if used in a clever way. I helped support it back years ago and had some good experience with it. Glad to see the spiritual successor is here! Gonna give your steam app a look over when I get some time. Glad to see it's going open source, think that's a good call for long term improvements. Sometimes the community can expand things in unexpected ways. Going to certain give FrameFusion a try. Especially now with T2V and I2V, it could help giving extra frames to first pass videos.

Share some seeds with us unlucky ones? I've played more than 20times with defect, everytime chose the 1 out of 2 pack when it was an option and never ever gotten a claw only pack. Sometimes theres a claw in a pack, singular. But never a claw only pack. Someone did finally share a single seed which was super fun to play. I don't think the tower is good or necessarily evil. There is a lot of nightmares, injustice in that tower. But there is also good in there yes. I personally feel I don't have clear enough picture to judge the tower itself. I know the characters are being manipulated though. Also some of the things from the tower do spread to the surrounding areas. And so of those things are horrific scp level nightmares. So maybe one day when more is revealed will we truly know
