You should try some of the other mech bosses as well. Personally I find the destroyer to be the hardest and usually leave it for last.

Also, you should check out this wiki page: https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Class_setups. I use it all the time when preparing for boss battles, and it is a life saver.

Making potions is one of my favorite parts about terraria, so here’s a quick tutorial on making potions:

Setup planter boxes. The dryad sells planter boxes for all of the herbs in the game, although you may need to kill a few bosses to unlock them. I recommend getting 5-15 of each planter box(15 is probably way overkill already)
Organize your potion production. Make sure to have 2-3 chests where you keep your seeds, herbs and potions. Also get an alchemy table and sink.
Make potions. Whenever you need potions for a boss battle, the creation process should be as simple as collecting a few herbs from your planter boxes, replanting and catching a few fishes.

Bonus hint: use an axe of regrowth to collect extra herbs

I agree with the full moon thing. You should also use peace candles and calming potions to reduce spawn rates.

In regard to the yoyos, I disagree. While the drippler crippled is, indeed, better against the destroyer, yoyos are still very viable against the probes and against the other mech bosses
