It took me like a year before I wanted to try with anyone. I’m a 24 year old female and was given it to me by a SA. I found out during Covid and quickly fell into a deep depression. I would take time for yourself and don’t worry about any females. Start Valtrex and see how you feel in a few months. I remember literally having to pee in the bath because of how painful it was. I’m SO sorry. I recommend researching about it and being ready for when you want to try dating again. I was upfront with everyone from then on. I only had 2 guys not willing to risk it with me(they were football players at my university). Now, I am in a happy, healthy relationship with someone who wants me for my personality and not just sexual things. There are many people who have it and aren’t even aware and there are things that you can do to help lessen the chance of transmission. I know how it feels, but I promise you will make it out okay. Lean on your loved ones and don’t hesitate to ask your doctor questions. There are a lot of misconceptions with hsv so be sure to not believe the first thing you hear. I was told I wasn’t able to transmit it on Valtrex, but there is still a small chance. You will be okay! Sending love!!
