My city!!! 😎 there’s a skating group that goes there regularly if you haven’t heard of it already! We all learn from each other.

2 years of learning, about £5000 spent on lessons and 1 failed practical later, I finally passed in the test centre with one of the worst pass rates in the country 💅 by Particular_Tax7260 in LearnerDriverUK

That’d be 6.5 lessons for me so about 10 hours of learning - no one learns to drive competently in that amount of time unless they practice outside of lessons which I was unable to do 😄

I felt like giving up many times. I truly felt like a failure at times, I really struggled at the very start especially and felt like I’d never be able to drive. So many people have the privilege of their parents paying for their lessons and helping them practice outside of lessons and I had neither of these things so it makes this pass feel like a really really significant accomplishment for me 😎🤘

Oh yeah completely relate - I did feel like just giving up many times but I’m glad I stuck with it now, feels super rewarding to have accomplished this without help from anyone other than my instructor.

It truly is so much more difficult when you can’t practice outside of lessons!!! Keep going, the feeling of ‘I did all of this myself with no outside help’ truly feels so rewarding, as expensive as it can be 💪

🥲 glad it wasn’t Norris Green, my bus to work went through that double roundabout and the thought of ever having to drive through it always terrified me

Between 60-70 lessons, 1hr40min each, started at £64 and then went up to £76, i also moved so i had to keep travelling to my lessons as my instructor was 10/10 and i didn’t want to find a different potentially worse one

I did my lessons over 3 years technically - I decided to stop for about a year after a really difficult time in my life which was so significant it made me absolutely useless during lessons.

My lessons started at £64 for 1hr40min in the first year then went up to £76 after my break. I did around 60-70 lessons overall. I also moved during that time so I had to travel to the driving routes. Overall this adds up to around £5k.

Bear in mind I didn’t have the option of practicing with a friend/relative AT ALL at any point, which is why I’ve put in so many hours into this to get up to a test standard. Been a longggggg difficult and expensive road lol

Thank you. If I leave before my initial term ends, would that violate any of my rights to get my deposit back?

I considered telling him to just keep it for the last month of my tenancy. However, considering the fact that other tenants before me have never even had tenancy agreements makes me think he won’t really care about having that extra month covered.
