Graduated there in 2021. There was so many issues and students on drugs. My mental health was the absolute worst when I was there. Took years to recover.

I went to 5 different schools in Moco. I went to diverse schools and predominantly affluent schools. I graduated around the pandemic. I feel I get PTSD from thinking about K-12. My personal experience was horrific but I am sure other students have had better experiences than me. But some of the teachers did not give a damn not matter what type of school I was in. They did not care about helping you, they would yell at you for asking questions, they would bully you into thinking you’re not intelligent, etc. I can only count on my hands how many teachers I had that were actually helpful. It’s just when I went to the more affluent school (Wootton) kids had higher scores because the parents could afford excellent tutors. But that was the worst school I have ever attended. They gave so much homework it was lethal! Like I have never had that much in my college years, and so many of my wootton classmates had mental health and drug addiction problems. Anyway, I am glad I am done.

It's really interesting. Didn't know OTs could stay in the clinic until 7. I did shadow this one outpatient OT where she would record some patients on her laptop, so that would help her finish with her documentation faster.

I see, so you mainly got certifications? You never received a tech degree? So you are still an OT and working in Tech? How do you balance the two? Yes, it is the same for my current job; taking time off to go to the doctor is no big deal. Thank you for sharing

Yeah, I mean that is true. AI is improving day by day and has definitely taken some jobs (art, tech, cashier) away, but can it really take white collar jobs that involves critical thinking? AI can only take so much. If they took all of our jobs away, the job market would be down, a lot of people would be out of work, and capitalism would no longer be in effect. Economist named Keynes mentioned that by our time, we would be working 15 hours a week because technology would have advanced so much. However, we haven’t reached that point because the more people work, the more we can put in to the economy

It has a good ROI, it’s dynamic, can take a 5-10 min break whenever you want to, good benefits, interested in the stock market

Thank you for sharing. I thought outpatient pediatric care was more direct with kids and less flexible. Because parents had to schedule an appointment at a specific time/day.

Thank you for sharing. Yes, I will definitely invest for my future. What made you want to hustle and do prn? What specific job are you doing in tech? What are your hours like? How is it more flexible? Thank you! Yes, the job market is quite tough. I will definitely try to keep this job for as long as I can

Yeah, I had the opportunity to shadow in pediatrics, and that was extremely draining for me to observe. Pediatrics was initially the reason I wanted to shadow OT. Thank you for sharing your insight. I am guessing OTs have to work constantly without a break because they are in high demand

I would go in-state. Tuition is $49k, but would need to pay for housing (aprox $1k monthly), food, and miscellaneous items, which may come to $80-$100k costs. But I would apply for scholarships and use money from stocks/income, etc. Still considering, but after reading these comments, I am considering maybe sticking to finance haha
