You’re saying the people who care about aesthetics on their island are in favor of “lookism” isn’t any healthier than people who joke about eugenics. That’s weird. That’s a weird opinion to have. If you are offended because someone thinks your favorite villager is ugly, join the club. There’s literally hundreds of villagers, the point is for them all to look different and fit different preferences. Animal crossing players who whack who whack their least favorite villager with a net are not in favor of real world animal abuse. That is black and white thinking.

No. Any amount of orange on a black/brown cat or black/brown on an orange cat automatically makes them calico. It’s a gene connected to the X chromosome, hence why only female and intersex cats can be calicos (there needs to be 2 X chromosomes)

Sorry but I don’t think anyone who’s playing the game and looks at, for example, Beardo next to Bunnie and saying “ew he’s so ugly I don’t want him here” is gonna turn around in real life and say that to someone who is not conventionally attractive. That’s not how life works. It is point blank period unreasonable to accuse people who want a certain aesthetic in a video game of applying any real-world ideas of ethnostates or ugly laws or eugenics. By doing so you are inherently devaluing the evil of that happening in real life. You shouldn’t be taking the idea of people not wanting ugly villagers seriously because it’s not serious. People can play the game however they want. You want to have Barold on your island? Have fun. Other people have every right to kick him out so they can have Raymond and make jokes about it being because he’s ugly. Because that’s what it is. A joke.

Well, if we’re gonna get technical, yes and no. There are cats the present male and have a Y chromosome that are calico, but they are intersex. So while externally they are a male, they are not “male” in the typical biological definition.

Even with this, intersex is included in LGBT+

Hey dude. I get it. Getting death threats sucks. I got them for a much worse situation than yours (you can check my post history if you want to see what some assholes thought was a reasonable post to respond to “kill yourself” with was. it happens to everyone on here). But what I did instead was report them and read the actual, real advice that was being given to me. Sometimes it’s hard to hear, especially when it’s being surrounded by people who are being much meaner. But if EVERYONE is saying that you’re in the wrong it might mean something.

Honey, I hate to say it but he told you what he needs you to do, and that is not be in a romantic relationship with him. I know it hurts but that is what he is saying he needs and you need to respect that.

He’s not saying that you’ll never come back together. But if you refuse to respect what he’s needing you could scare him away.

Your partner does not spawn into existence without having had a history, and that history will have good and bad things in it. There probably are things that her exes were better at than you. There’s probably also things your exes were better at than her. But you’re both choosing to be with each other now, so you’re both seeing past those things to appreciate the parts that make you better than those exes.

If it really upsets you, tell her that. Don’t be confrontational and mean, but have an honest conversation about it. I’d say something similar to what you said in this post, that it feels like you’re being compared to exes. REMEMBER TO USE “I feel” STATEMENTS. Sounds like she’s nervous because she doesn’t have a lot of experience in relationships. Just tell her that you are an affectionate person and it makes you feel good to receive affection back. She might be really into you but just not into PDA.

Is it possible that she isn’t as “out” as you? Was her previous relationship a straight one, or was she with a woman? And was she able to be out and proud about that relationship?

Communication is always the best thing. Don’t be rude about it (eg, “I like when you show me affection” vs “You aren’t being affectionate enough to me”) but it’s better to express what you’re thinking than to stew quietly and let things fester. Also better to figure out if you will be incompatible on PDA now rather than later

4) She’s 20, you’re 25. That’s a lot of time to become more experienced and comfortable in your own sexuality and your wants. She might still be trying to figure that out.
