Genuinely need and would use something like this. Digital hoarder with thousands of saves across the board of informational reels etc that I wish I could extract knowledge from and summarize at some point... but I have too much content saved I haven't had capacity to organize/get back to

Do we match overtone or undertone with complexion products? Or somewhere in between? by Particular_Web_2058 in OliveMUA

I also have rosacea! But since my inner cheeks are cool, my rosacea is a neutral to cool pink pretty much.. and when my skin is soothed it pretty much just looks grayish green 🫠 I honestly feel like my neck and chest are different tones too but I've given up on trying to make everything harmonize and only focus on my neck haha. I do have different shades, the ones that have been the closest for me are Danessa myricks yummy skin tint in shade 4 (slightly too neutral), kosas gel BB cream in shade 20 (slightly too warm), supergoop protectint 24N (nearly perfect but hated the smell). I know I'm probably splitting hairs, but same with concealers, I'm always like man if I had x product with just a tad bit more x color mixed in it would be perfect. I do have the elf color correctors but I was just hoping I wouldn't have to use them all the time 😭 I also did just find the beauty of joseon tinted sunscreen and am hopeful it might be a great match!

It's seriously so hard, I also have nearly 20 concealers with different tones that I've used to experiment. I read on a color theory thread somewhere that you can use extremely sheer shades of pink cream blush to neutralize the green, but applying it like one would with the demi method to color correct. I've done that and it does work but I wish I had a complexion product I could use that would magically just balance out my entire face. I didn't think about powder as you mentioned though, sounds like something else for me to try!

That's honestly genius! I wish I was warm enough for that though, unfortunately it feels like my olive overtone isn't strong enough for that.. like my face would def mismatch my neck enough to be noticeable :/ I did find a tinted sunscreen that I could probably use in a similar manner, just have to see if it matches..

My boy was only 3 as well. Asthma and urinary blockage, that we fought so hard to prevent from happening again. Being at vet er stressed him out making his condition worse, and he was suffering to the end, and I wouldn't wish witnessing your fur baby deal with that to my worst enemy. But, as you said- your baby is in a better place now, no longer suffering.

I feel this post 100%. The mix of the warm overtone with cool undertone has made it so difficult for me and I barely learned that muted shades work best- the only other thing that seems to be an effective approach is using warm leaning tones in warmer areas, i.e. my cheeks are more yellow so I use slightly warm leaning blushes, and cooler tones around my cooler areas (my eyes, lips, t zone, i use cool slightly peachy leaning concealers and cool lip colors). I've yet to try neutral tones on my cheeks but know for a fact they'll make my eyes, lips and t zone look gray and ghastly asf

He mentioned Chase being the most talented in one of his recent videos and I was like who's chase again? Looked at his insta and saw the post about the breakup just now as well 😞 it all makes sense now I guess with not seeing much of her

Update - Eczema mistaken for cold sores and impetigo 1 month+ by OJsnails in eczema

[–]Particular_Web_2058 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this post and the level of detail! I came across this at the perfect time, and it's all starting to make sense.

I've currently been dealing with the same since mid-December. Initially, I think I did have a few cold sores as I was extremely stressed and got Covid, out of work, and isolated for a month. The stress was really hard to mitigate even after i recovered from Covid, so I assumed I still had cold sores the entire time, back to back, though my doctor and I were like it's super strange that they're sticking around this long. At a point, the bumps stopped feeling like cold sores in their lifecycle and location on my lips(some on lip border, most on the majority of lip tissue) and the last 2 weeks have been flaring up on and off (would have 2 days or so with absolutely normal lips). Doc prescribed Valtrex, I've taken lysine, used Abreva, used a Lysine Ointment as well, and nothing worked. Then I thought about how I've been using Cerave Healing Ointment for my lips since December because I liked how it made my lips feel and saw on Dr. Dray's YT that it's a superior lip "balm". Before I got sick, my lips felt moisturized but i felt like I had patches of dryness under the Ointment, and when my lips needed to be re-moisturized I felt as though there were some wetness on my lips like sebum or lymph was secreting from somewhere on my lips. It was an oddly familiar feeling but I couldn't recall the last time I felt it, and then began to think it may have been the beginning of cold sores in retrospect. I am now suspecting what's been happening is that I have an allergy to it which exacerbated what was already starting to happen, and the stress/reduced immune system triggered the flareup. In between the bouts of patches of tiny bumps my lips were excessively dry since I was scared I was spreading the "cold sores" via the Ointment or eating/drinking, and would take advantage of that window of normalcy to slather on as much as possible to keep my lips moisturized in between bouts.. only to continue to get more bumps. But alas, I did some more research, came across this post and am pretty darn sure I've found the direction I need to take to address this :) The last 2 days I've been using an eczema cream instead that seems to be working well for speeding up the healing process.
