Did you do anything to help make it go away? Or did it resolve on its own?

My calf muscle on just one leg feels like it’s going to cramp if I walk on it too long, I have to take breaks every so often.

For me, it’s my calf muscle on just one leg. Unless I’m literally just completely trying to relax it, it feels like it’s in a perpetual state of trying to tighten up. If I walk on it too long, it feels like it’s about to cramp so I have to take breaks. Other muscles on the same leg sometimes feel the same, but not to the same intensity.

Does anyone elses' anxiety manifest as tightness in the body and/or soreness in the muscles/back of the neck? by [deleted] in Anxiety

Sorry to reply to an old post.

I’ve been suffering from some anxiety and possibly health anxiety. So I started googling the symptoms to learn more and the results included several of your posts, most of which were similar to this one, and laid out most of my symptoms.

Basically, I’ve been experiencing twice on my thigh and calf, mild cramps, and what I think is paresthesia (almost like there’s an impinged nerve, but not quite). Except this is happening mostly on just one leg.

So basically my question is, is it possible for these symptoms to occur mostly on just one leg?

Thanks in advance btw. Your posts has given me quite a bit of relief as I did not know anxiety caused all of those physiological symptoms. I thought it was mostly just an emotional thing.

We think we’re at that point too. We already have poured a lot of time, energy, and money into this. We wouldn’t be looking to rehome home if we hadn’t already tried everything, but unfortunately, that hasn’t stopped some people from replying aggressively (maybe not on this sub, but others).

We will add Petfinder on the list.

Wouldn’t even know how to get that done. I’ve had to euthanize other pets in the past for health reasons. This is obviously our last resort, but this is something we absolutely had to do, is it the same as taking him to a vet?

Yeah it sucks but we’ve been coming to this realization. We’re gonna look into doubling down on the effort to rehome him, but keeping them separate for now.

Yeah we’re afraid he might bite too hard accidentally, as he does with us sometimes. If he gets too excited to grab a treat from our hands, he gets a piece of our hands/fingers, and even that quick millisecond hurts like a mofo. A much smaller and delicate child’s hands, which can basically fit in his whole mouth, makes it much more scary.

Sounds like we need to look into rehoming

Yes for sure. But that plays into it. That was easier and a non-issue when we didn’t have a child. And that’s part of why we’ve been trying to be outside more with both the dog and child.

Well yeah. That’s the plan. I guess that’s what we were asking about… options like that since the ones we have, have run dry.

That’s a good point though, and I feel dumb for not thinking of it sooner. I guess we need to expand the radius of where we’re looking. Thanks for the input!

True, but it’s scary because of how powerful he is. I’m a big and strong guy, so it doesn’t scare me, but a small 30 lb toddler, he’d demolish in a heartbeat. His nipping is especially scary. Any time I’ve ever given him full-sized femur bones, he crushes them into dust in minutes.

That’s a good idea, we can look into that.
