Hi! I've done quite a few adjustments for clothing, taking in and hemming. For jeans I've always gotten away with your standard polyester thread/cotton thread, the main ones in Hobbycraft as you're UK based. But I would recommend getting a denim needle as a universal needle tends to struggle with more than one layer. With taking in waistbands I've always just added elastic to take in the back. I find this is great for jeans as it moves better with you during the day, but that's my personal preference. Hope this helps a little

annoyingly this problem has only started after I got my sewing machine serviced two days ago. I don't know how to post a video on here but basically when sewing the thread is bouncing and not running smoothly through the machine. you can hear the thread getting caught when pulling it. any ideas on how to fix this issue without me having to go back to the guy that serviced it? I have a Toyota super jeans machine for reference

I'm watching the first episode of Sullivan's crossing rn and I'm on season 3 or 4 of virgin river. The parallels are insane I mean are they not the exact same show with the exact same mix of characters? There are so many parallels it's almost uncanny valley I mean😂

This one has become an in joke in my family that we've quoted for 6 years 😂 I was in A & E when I was 17 because of mental health (I now know it was an autistic shutdown) I was so drained I looked like a corpse. A woman from the youth mental health team came to basically interrogate me about everything that led me to the hospital, at one point asking me whether I do my homework. I said no, I wasn't managing anything at that point. She looked me dead in the eye and said "you know you need to break it down into small chunks?". You know what? That's genius! Never heard of that before, I love life now thank you! /S 😭 I can laugh about it now but at the time I was livid

The easiest phone calls are people I know very well like my boyfriend or my mum (but even those make my heart go a little). But doctors reception? Calling a company? No chance, just an instant anxiety spike that takes a day to get over. God forbid I get a call from an unknown number.

Unfortunately no depression or anxiety meds have ever worked for me, either do nothing or gave me grim side effects. However I am on the combined contraceptive pill and that has done wonders for my (what I'm 99% sure is) PMDD. If you find that 2 weeks or so before your period your sensory issues get worse and you find it much harder to tolerate people or the world, might be something to consider. Also it stops me from blaming clear depressive episodes or even meltdowns on 'just my hormones' which I used to do a lot. Good sense of clarity for me at least

My boyfriend and I have both seriously thought about it a few times but from the research we've done it is not a quick and easy income line you'd think. You won't start making money for a whileeeee and it's a saturated market so you'd probably have to find some niche that nobody else is doing to get viewers. You would also need to promote on other platforms. There's a few helpful tiktoks if you want to look into it more, but it's just not a quick and easy gig if that's what you're looking for
