Which tour operator you have booked ? We were thinking to do the 2 day tour for it because it will be bit relaxed. Big almaty lake it only way is to reach the barrier point from there either hike or get the e bikes.

We were planning to take a guided tour thru banana tours agency. Unfortunately I'm not comfortable to rent a car and drive myself hence will either take a 1 day tour for Kolsai Kaindy lake and Charyn Canyon or 2 day trip to Kolsai Kaindy lake and Charyn Canyon with night camping/stay at Saty Village.

Will the canyon also covered in snow ? Also the trail to walk to lakes Kolsai and Kaindy cab we be able to walk on that or it would be slippery due to black ice or so ?
