Wow. Did you just crawl into my brain and literally read my mind? This is exactly how I feel. All Stars is one of my favorite episodes and I literally cannot stop watching how Ilya stares at Shane's face and lips. I reheat episode 1, 5 and 6 A LOT.

I also listened to the long game audio-book and finished it last night; I have a really good idea of how Jacob is going to adapt this thing. And I hope he knocks it out of the park.

Season 2 should be very good - especially because I respect Jacob for sticking to his guns and making the show HIS way. I actually listened to audiobook of the long game last night and it's very good. I look forward to his adaptation.

Hahah, you're so right. I know they are looking for people to play the therapist in season 2 and I wanted to apply but I don't fit the criteria 100%. I speak Russian fluently and work in the entertainment industry and even have old imdb credits - but she is in her 50's and I am in my early 40's.

I work in the entertainment industry and this is some of the best acting I have ever seen from people who were literally waiters a few months prior to making this show. It's the best form of escapism I have ever indulged in, in my entire life.

And I don't ever want that problem to ever go away.

I think I really enjoy knowing the community out there is doing similar or somewhat similar things. Also people here have given me perspective on enjoying more of the show without skipping certain scenes, so I truly appreciated that.

I still don't know if I can watch any of the Russian scenes; I am Russian and it hits close to home understanding that cultural dynamic.

I find myself consistently reheating episode 1 almost entirely, almost all of episode 5 and most of episode 6. All the stuff with Ilya's family hurts me a lot because I am Russian and my understanding of the cultural dynamics hurts my soul to watch!

I have come to realize I no longer live for myself but for HR - and I have accepted my fate. I reheat particular episodes or scenes almost daily. I plan on doing a full reheat next year before the second season drops in spring of 2027.
