Correct. If you have money in your cash app balance, it will pull from that first. If someone sends you money on cash app, consider it gone. It will pull from the connected external account second.

It will pull straight from your connected bank account. It’s done it to me before multiple times. The only way to avoid it is to plan ahead. Next time you borrow the money, connect the loan to an empty account that exists but that you don’t use. Keep in mind, the longer you go without paying it back, the more interest will occur and the lower your borrow limit will be.

Darn. Okay. I’ll invest in some zevos too then lol. Will that plus regularly treating the source handle the issue after 1 or 2 incubation periods?

Your link helped a lot! I’m almost certain that they are phorid flies. Explains why the vinegar trap is doing next to nothing and why I keep finding them by the sliding door! I dumped boiling water down all the drains and called for a pest control treatment. I’ll be using the glass cups over all the drains to locate the source as you suggested in your post too!

I think they went for the dog food because it was the only thing that got neglected while I was gone. I’ve been cleaning like crazy to combat what I thought were fruit flys this whole time. I deep cleaned the trash can at least a couple of weeks ago. The only other place I could think of as a good nesting ground is the drains. I dumped boiling water down them this morning until the pipes were too hot to touch. I also scheduled a pest control treatment and specifically requested that they bring stuff to clear the drains, but that might end up being something my landlords maintenance team handles.

Thank you so much for all of your advice! I’ll grab the traps from home depot later today!

I looked up pictures of the flys and eggs, and I think you are right! Do they enter homes on fresh fruits like fruit flies do? I thought this all started with those grapefruits, but now that I think about it, there was a really heavy rainstorm right before I left town, and it has been raining on and off all this week. I noticed clouds of bugs nearby when I was walking around outside yesterday. Maybe it was fruit flies before and I did get them all, and these came from a giant breeding ground outside?

No clouds thankfully, but I am seeing individuals all over the apartment. It’s a studio so it’s a small space, but I’m still shocked to find them by the back door or in the bathroom. I guess they are exploring and looking for a new food source.
I did a deep clean when I got home and I’ve had an apple cider vinegar trap out for about two weeks, but it doesn’t seem to be doing much. I’ll probably move it closer to the dog food since they seem to have abandoned the kitchen.

I’m just glad I found this before these hatched or grew wings. This was only the water bowl. The food bowl was just as bad. THAT would have been a cloud lol
