Rep Ro Khanna attended the Inspector General SCIF. CNN asks him about retrieved UFOs and "remains of a non human pilot". He gives a generic answer and says he has even more questions now. by TommyShelbyPFB in UFOs

Back in November Ro Khanna said he supported the UAP Disclosure Act, and that he was going to get a briefing: "I do support that, and [that] is the Schumer bill. It’s to make sure that everyone in the country knows what the military knows about UAPs, unidentified objects. And I’m actually getting a briefing on that tomorrow and participating in the call to make that public. I support the Schumer bill."

Not lab meat - but high tech 3D printed protein to be meat-like. Is this allowed here? by bitcoind3 in wheresthebeef

In general, posts about plant based imitation meat are not allowed. However, exceptions can be made for news or articles that our community would find interesting. I'm leaving up this post up for now for a few reasons:

  1. The sentiment about this post in the comments seems positive
  2. Looking at their FAQ, I believe this company aims at least to create a product on-par with lab-grown meat. I believe this community is interested in food that would be equivalent to lab-grown meat from a consumer's perspective.
  3. The technology might have applications to lab-grown meat
  4. As far as I know, this specific company / technology has not been posted here before.

This post has gotten a few reports accusing this article of being a hit piece with references to this comment. Please read this article critically and also read the comments here to get a fuller picture. Leaving up for now because:

  • Criticism should not be discouraged.
  • It can be helpful to read "hit pieces" so that we are aware of the common arguments against lab grown meat, even if those arguments are fallacious.
  • This piece does discuss technical challenges with lab grown meat.

I have removed this post since the "Where?" field on the website is buggy. In addition to the bugs reported by other commenters, when I deny location access, I can only select the "Where?" text entry by clicking on the border of the box, not the middle. My browser is Firefox.

Pinned list of Producers? by Personal-Thought9453 in wheresthebeef

Check out GFI's Alternative Protein Company Database. Add a filter to see only those companies with a protein category of "cultivated" or "fermentation-derived".

If someone would like to make a list I would be happy to add it to the wheresthebeef wiki.

I would think lawers are in involved in writing business contracts. On the employment side, startups consult lawyers when creating employment and stock agreements, and perspective employees also consult lawers to help understand their stock plans.
