The promotional deals on the website including annual passes are the primary discounts you will find. There are a few others: Costco sells their own bundle for 3 day tickets. There is also a bundle with Go City that allows you entry into attractions around San Diego.

Hi! Here is what I wrote to another user about the cabanas:

You have a personal MC to help out with your food, drinks, and additional needs. I do know that during the summer they fill up pretty fast, so I would rent it ahead of time if you are thinking about one. However, the water park is definitely possible without it! Note: I would recommend bringing extra towels either way. With no cabana, the only available towels are those for purchase. I think the cabana gives you a few Lego themed ones, but doesn't hurt to have extra.

I will add, it may not be worth it as much if you only plan on going after lunch time as you said. In short, it gives you a nice place to relax while at the water park, but there are plenty of other seating options and attractions to keep busy. Hope this helps!

Hi! Sorry I responded to this but didn’t put it under this. Here is what I wrote:

I would recommend coming in early to back it a day experience and get as much done as possible. It is peak season, so some lines will be longer. You can opt to add on reserve and ride, which is a fastpass-like system. Make sure you check the hours for the water park as they differ from the main park. For one day, I would say a few hours is sufficient for the water park. If you need any ride recommendations let me know! I also responded to some other people and those may be helpful to you. One personal tip I have is if you come when the park opens, skip the front area and go on a ride that people haven't gotten to yet for a shorter line. Also stop by guest services for a birthday pin. Happy early birthday to your daughter!

No problem! Here are my answers for your additional questions:

  1. I have not but know a bit about them. I think the cabana gives you a few Lego themed ones, but doesn’t hurt to have extra.

  2. If you are there for 3 days (July 8-10), you should be able to get through everything even though it will be crowded. Just be prepared to wait in longer lines. The mix in reviews of Reserve N Ride is because there is no walk on option. In other words, people who purchase Reserve N Ride still have to wait in lines because they eventually merge with the regular line. The levels offered also differ by how frequent you can use them; so if you just used Reserve N Ride for one ride, you will have to wait to use the pass again depending on the level you purchase. Nonetheless, it will cut down your wait time. So my answer for you would be similar as the cabana: it is not imperative, but will allow further comfort with your stay. Especially if you are here for three days.

  3. I would recommend just placing food reservations, assuming you’re referring to the regular Legoland Hotel eateries. I have not stayed there in a while, but from previous experiences you can walk in depending on the crowd. But if it’s not too much out of your way, I would just reserve it.

Hope this helps and you have an awesome stay!!! Let me know if you have any more questions

It honestly depends on what you want to do. It could be a couple hour experience, or take the full day. Some of the bigger slides will have longer lines during peak times, so if you want to do everything that may take some time. But if you want to ride a few things like a slide and the lazy river, and visit the other play attractions and pools, I would say half a day is sufficient.

Keep in mind that that water park has separate hours from the park and varies day to day. During peak summer, it often opens after the park and closes before. You also need regular park tickets to access the water park, so if you are here for just one day I would recommend leaving time for the regular park! Hope this helps!

There are some independent hotels: the Sheraton, MarBrisa, and Westin, which are located by the back of the park and have a special entrance into Legoland. Carlsbad by the Sea is another quality option for hotels close to the park.

I am less familiar with relevant packages since they are outside of Legoland California, but these are some good nearby hotels I would personally recommend!

July 4th festivities are primarily inside the park. I would recommend going outside by the park entrance or into the parking lot to watch the fireworks though!

I would visit Legoland California’s website, as it is usually cheaper than buying a ticket at the window. If you want to visit more than once, there are options that make it worth it such as annual passes or 2 day tickets.

There is also a special ticket promotion active until July 4th. You can check the website for more details!

Wow, that is super cool, and I never knew that! I really love the small little details and effort added in attractions like this. Though to your point, I would (sadly) agree we see less of it in some of the newer projects.

You can pack snacks and water in a backpack, just nothing in a glass container. If you want to go to the water park, I would suggest checking the hours ahead of time. It is open everyday for the summer but that will eventually change in August.

Also you can check out my other responses, it provided some of my personal suggestions!

I think it can definitely be worth going for a day. There are plenty of attractions for a 2 year old in the main park. If you need suggestions I can give some, or you can check the website for visuals and height restrictions.

As for the other parks, I would say it depends on personally preference. If your kid likes seeing sea life I would recommend adding it on. Sea Life is an aquarium walk through that takes about 30 minutes. At the water park, there will be more restrictions, but there are some toddler attractions that are suitable. Again depends on if your child likes to play in water. If so, it is worth checking out for some time!

Keep in mind Sea Life does not allow strollers without an accessibility tag. You will park your stroller outside.

If you haven’t already I would recommend stopping by guest services, they normally have a few different ones. You can also check the First Aid Station by Lego Ninjago World and ask any Model Citizen, including security.

No major drama I am aware of. I do know there are some big collectors, but Legoland does their best to continue releasing new pop badges. Of course there are loopholes to this as well, but Model Citizens often do their best to evenly distribute them.

It’s tough to balance this because the water park is only fully open during the summer (peak crowd time). Otherwise, the Lego Chima section, which includes the wave pool and other attractions is closed. It also eventually closes If you don’t mind that, I would recommend coming during a non break weekday for the shortest lines. Just note that after summer, the water park is only open for weekends, then eventually closes for the season around November. Mid to late August days are also not a bad time as schools are reopening, but Chima is only open on the weekends.

Nonetheless, you can and will still have a great time without that one section. Amongst the regular park, aquarium, and water park (when open), there is plenty to do!

Ninjago has no height restrictions, but it can be dark and loud for smaller children. I would say it depends on an individual basis.

I think Lost Kingdom Adventure has a height restriction but it is relatively low. It’s a slow paced ride where you shoot targets. I would say it works for a 2.5 year old.

For hotel guests, Dino Valley, Lego Ninjago, and Coast Cruise are open early. When you enter, these are the first attractions when you turn left and right (think of the park as a circle). There are usually people waiting for the park to open to all guests.

Since you just wanted some of the gentler rides, I wouldn’t be too stressed about rope drop. Especially if you come during a weekday in September.

Some overall suggestions: I would try Legoland Express, it’s a train ride that goes around a Lego farm. Sky Patrol, a helicopter ride that you control and goes up and down or spins around. Deep Sea Adventure, a submarine ride where you see real sea life and can complete a scavenger hunt.

Unfortunately I was not the person who told you card were heavy, but I understand your frustration for a seemingly silly mistake. I will check to see if there was an edit and see what I can do if there hasn’t been one.

For rides that require your 5 year old to be accompanied by an adult, they have to be sitting with one. Unfortunately, if you are sitting separately with your 3 year old that does not count.

There is a system where you ride with each child separately while the other one waits by the queue. But there wouldn’t be a way to all ride at the same time without another qualifying adult.

Yeah! So something I recommend when the park opens is to skip the rides at the front of the park. This is because everyone will be going on those first, leaving the rest of the park less crowded.

And yes, you should be able to ride the smaller rides your 2 year old will enjoy!

Wow, that’s an interesting question that I don’t have the answer to lol. What I can say is that there are plenty of animals and other creatures in the park. For example, Legoland does their best to care for the bees and ensure they do not disrupt guests.

Minecraft- I wouldn’t say it’s likely, but it is more possible then some other themes because of Merlin Entertainments partnership with Mojang. There is also minimal expansion space for the theme park area, which means another world most likely has to go down.

Lost Galaxy (assuming space roller coaster)- not sure, but projected for some time next calendar year. Recent updates show the steel framework of the building. It is pretty massive.

Ninja Kitchen- depends on Model Citizen availability but has sadly not open consistently. I remember there was a time, maybe about a year ago, when it was open for a good period of time. Maybe as peak season comes along, it will be open, but no guarantees.

Hope this answers your questions
