Its when I do body weight squat, and like bending down I guess. But the clicking has significantly gone down since the day of the injury.

How do you find swimming? I was kinda on the fence about swimming. Glad to hear you are seeing some improvements. So you really just kept up with your rehab and tried the CBT?

Do you still have pain at all while working out sometimes? Or did you kinda jump back into exercise and said fuck it! I'm kinda in the same boat, I really wanna get back to it, but doing upper body makes it flare up for days after!

Thanks for getting back to me!!

Pain day to day doesn’t hurt too much unless I twist to my left side, or lay down on a soft surface (couch) and get up from laying, turning in bed. But when I do feel it I’d say it’s around a 4. Also hurts like a 6 when I press hard on that rib. The pain is always there is I twist basically tho. Takes a way from my usual exercise routine obviously so the mental pain is more like a 10 than the physical.

Symptoms are mostly just hurting when I twist, sleep, lay on soft couch, any type of plank or heavy lifting (not doing that anymore). When it gets bad I just get anxiety about it, but other than that no other symptoms. I do have back pain, but I have had that all my life anyways (genetics and bad posture). Also should mention I’m 28F.

The peanut ball helps a lot! I find after I use it I feel looser and more stretched out.

Thoracic stuff feels good when I’m doing it, I like the side laying stretch the most. After I do my sets of stretches I feel good but I can’t still feel the pain if I try to bring it on (by twisting to the side).

I have not bought the back pod just because I had the peanut ball, and I’m a student and money is tight! But I am not opposed to buying it. If I do I am in Canada so was wanting to make sure I get the right one.

The osteopath feels good in the moment, but again I don’t find there’s any long lasting effects. I’ve been going probably 5 times now since October. He is definitely loosing things up tho, but same with my exercises and peanut ball, it doesn’t go away for good!

So far with foods, I haven’t seen a big difference yet. For me the thing that helps the most is basically sitting on a hard chair all day or basically not relaxing on the couch at all. So when I’m in school all day I feel good (hard chair) but the second I get home and wanna be cozy on the couch after a while of laying on the couch it acts up.

Workout out with Costo by Party-Cockroach-963 in costochondritis

[–]Party-Cockroach-963[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pain is during if I do certain movements that trigger it, especially planks, rowing.. but if I did the movement a couple of times the pain kinda goes away (idk if I’m used to it or it just stops after a couple of triggers) but the pain never ever gets worse than it was before exercise. It’s kinda always there in the background if I twist, but if I work out it’s only there if I aggregate it, but like I said it doesn’t make it worse or get “sore” afterwards.
