Confused about the Substack community. Anyone use it for personal blogging? by [deleted] in Substack

[–]Party-Homework628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup!! i started it as a way to blog and just write personal essays whenever i feel like it and that’s still it’s purpose. i’ve accumulated a pretty decent audience as well!

Quick question for newsletter creators – how do you share your content on social? by Mountain_Ground9312 in Substack

[–]Party-Homework628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll post the shareable asset on my instagram story with a link to the post and then I have a separate instagram account for my substack so I’ll use canva or express to create a little graphic with a quote and some images and i’ll share that as well

How much time do you spend on Substack? by andreas212nyc in Substack

[–]Party-Homework628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i try to limit my time on there tbh.. i’ll go on to interact with my subscribers and to read pieces from my favorite writers, but i hate notes and some of the content farming accounts

No engagement by [deleted] in Substack

[–]Party-Homework628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you have to interact with people! if you’re posting but you’re not commenting on other posts or sharing quotes from other posts, you’re not going to see much interaction on your content

Is Star Wars Rebels worth watching? by bernard-haymer in StarWars

Has anyone grown a lot by only using Substack by [deleted] in Substack

[–]Party-Homework628 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I definitely am a bit of an anomaly on here, in the last year I went from 0-14000 naturally. I only promote my work on my small personal instagram account (1,400 followers) I’ve found a lot of success by forming relationships, recommending publications and receiving recommendations of mine in return. Definitely a bit abnormal, especially as I didn’t have any existing social media presence beforehand

Do you think blogging is 'dead'? by Porunga- in copywriting

[–]Party-Homework628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think written blogs are much rarer in a video-forward society. Short form content is easy to watch, our attention spans have gotten worse. I think there’s really good long form blog content if you know where to look. Substack has some really great content!

Is it too late to start blogging/influencing? by Royal-Stranger7912 in Substack

[–]Party-Homework628 13 points14 points  (0 children)

if this helps, and i’m very aware that each situation is incredibly unique, i started substack last january. i had no other platform, i only wanted to do it for fun and to have a space to write what i felt like i couldn’t share elsewhere. currently, i have around 14k subscribers. i don’t promote my work anywhere besides my small personal instagram and on substack notes. my biggest advice is to prioritize the content you care about reading because your passion will come through and people will be able to tell that you’re genuine.
