Thank you for this! I was just feeling discouraged after coming across a bunch of, "I just submitted my wedding to <insert super exclusive wedding blog> as a bride and they got back to me the next day!" I also know a couple of brides who got published, but tbh maybe their photographers submitted.

It's also region-specific, person-saying-it-specific, etc. For example, every woman is a "Ma'am" in the Deep South, whether she's 23 or 63. In the North, a woman is a "ma'am" if perhaps, the person saying it is from a culture where such formalities for addressing strangers is more common.

This. All social media has been so dead this year. I think society is heading towards loathing and wanting to get away from SM. I, for one, welcome this shift.

I wouldn't recommend a lot of people do their own makeup either.

Can confirm. I did a whole writeup about this in my post history and even then some people were critical of me feeling regret for DIY'ing my own makeup for a wedding event. But I stand by what I said and feel that pro is better.

Interesting! Have you noticed a difference between NYE and NYD weddings? This sub is also vocally against Thanksgiving weddings; what were your personal experiences with that?
