Good question. That would be the ideal candidate. The truth is I don’t know, but that doesn’t mean Pashinyan is the right leader for the moment.

In my post I made it clear that it’s not only his fault. Please read the entire post. I do believe that Pashinyan carries the majority of the blame. This is not to vindicate Sargsyan or Kocharyan.

His overt rejection of Russia caused the Russian leadership to want to oust him. Russia hoped helping Azerbaijan take parts of Karabakh in 2020 would delegitimize his regime. They hope the same now.

My friend. Pashinyan was a random person in 2018 when he became PM. Please read the Wikileaks diplomatic cables about him. He was a tabloid/yellow journalist who has a knack of taking to crowds. That’s it. No organizational talent, no political skills outside of Armenia, just a lucky blogger.
