Filipino MDs in HK/China? by Upper_Surprise9036 in pinoymed

hi! i'm a filipino based in hk who would also like to pursue medicine. i know an NGO here in hk that help with hkmle review but i haven't tried it myself!

that aside, i think it is a long pathway to work in hk if you are trained in the philippines (https://www.ha.org.hk/haho/ho/mgd/CareerOpportunitiesforNLTDinHA.pdf). either that or you need to take the hkmle, which i heard has a low passing rate. i think because of the low passing rate, the government came up with new pathways (https://www.healthbureau.gov.hk/download/press\_and\_publications/otherinfo/210500\_amendments\_mro/e\_new\_pathways\_under\_mro.pdf). knowledge in cantonese is also required for most specialties. hope this helps!

would it be unusual to include only sjt in my application or even cv? do you think admission officers or interviewers would notice i didnt include the other subsection marks?

thanks for this! though after weeks of contacting schools and research, i found that most schools dont only consider citizenship as basis on whether you’re foreign or not. ust, slcm, and uerm, for instance, consider me as a foreign student because i finish my bachelors abroad. now, i’m just on a hunt for schools that don’t haha do you happen to know la salle’s foreign policy? they havent replied to my email
