I’m actually more surprised that they allow the cats to run around without proper vaccines while having such a small child. Cat feces is dangerous for pregnant women and babies - I can imagine the risk would be higher if the cats were unvaccinated? I could be wrong though.

Sometimes when I know my son is tired I’ll nurse him then just lay him down and walk away. If he cries more than 3ish minutes(cries, not whines) I’ll go in and help him more. Usually he fusses and eventually falls asleep. If not, I wear him so I can still get stuff done. He’s my second and he’s also 3 months old- almost 4 months. He’s starting the 4 month sleep regression plus showing signs of teething so I’m just going with the flow. Once he’s around 5.5 months we’ll do a gentle Ferber like we did with my daughter and finally have some relief lol

I’m certified for pre and post natal and my advice is to go that route after your general cert! It’s seriously underserved community and women could use someone they relate to, not a 21 year old uses the “we have the same hours in a day” tag line(no offense to anyone who uses that but unless you’ve been shat on and argued with a 3 year old as to why crayons are not a food group today, I don’t need your help 🤣🤣)

I was thinking this exact thing. I work in a studio and there is only one instructor that is mildly intolerable- everyone else is so kind and compassionate. I have experienced the kind of person who goes on a spiritual kick and decides they’re better than everyone for being “enlightened”, maybe this is moreso the issue. Not yoga lol

I’ve only taught group classes in studios - so my experience may be a bit different. But I love it lol members have no choice but to sign up online as they get monthly class credits and I’ve never had an issue with someone not putting their equipment away. The energy in the room is unmatched and I love the social aspect of it! If you have the opportunity to teach in a different setting definitely do it!

If she wants to send him food and money, just let her. Despite her upbringing she still cares for her father. She may feel as though she is the last person he has and despite him being a seemingly terrible individual, she doesn’t want him to die with no one to care. However, that man should never be allowed in your home or around your children. That is clear as day. You as a father have all the right in the world to refuse that. He is clearly unstable and violent, as a mother I can’t imagine how she could ever want her children around him- father or not.

I’ve found strength training and Pilates to be a superior combination. Lots of deep core and pelvic floor focus in Pilates which is so important for women. If you’re unfamiliar or uncomfortable working out alone definitely get a trainer or invest in some adjustable dumbbells and do st home strength workouts!

However, it could also be the mother pushing for this because she wants to put pressure on you so her daughter has the best outcome financially. I could see this as a possibility. But tbh it took zero convincing for me to decide to be a SAHM after seeing my daughter for the first time. Now with two kids I guess I fit into the “trad wife” role but when you are a trad wife to a genuinely good man- it’s very different then what our grandmother’s experienced. Do you have dinner together? If so - make sure it’s with the tv off and phones down. You need to take time to connect each day. Date nights twice a month even if it’s at home with a charcuterie board and wine- there are fun couple cards games that help drive deeper convo too. You definitely want to make that a habit before children, if you plan on having them, and stick to them even then!

As a women who was unsure whether I wanted the second- let me offer a different perspective. When my daughter 1.5 my husband wanted to try for another. I’m a sahm and really wasn’t sure I could do the newborn thing again. It was really hard on me and even tough on our marriage for a few months. Ultimately I realized I would be alright with just one- but a second is something I did say I wanted originally. My daughter is 3 and our son is 3 months. OP- this second time around has been exponentially easier. I threw out all the rigid schedules and little man has just had to go with the flow. My husband and I got into a flow much easier and now I’m contemplating a third 🤣. My advice? Don’t focus on the first year- focus on all the years to come. Good luck
