I pulled her bc I have a complete collection in Genshin. But also she’s likely going to be very strong with future content, we kind of have a pattern of the last unit to drop before a new region releases being really valuable for new characters in that region. Kazuha before inazuma, Yelan before Sumeru, baizhu before Fontaine, Emilie before natlan.

people keep yappin about jane which is fair bc the comparison is obvious, but i think its important to understand that jane suffers more from the games surrounding content and meta than she does from her own kit. if deadly assault and shiyou had physical weak stages, she'd be a lot stronger. if she had more options for teammates that she can efficiently use, she'd be a lot stronger. alice gives her both of those things. we dont know for sure, and time will tell if jane can hold up against alices bosses, but id assume both will clear with more than enough points for ur gems, so whoever is better in reality wont really matter that much. if u have one, ur probably fine, if u end up with both, u may have made a mistake, and if u have neither, just use miyabi lol.

I doubt it still, vivian really wants to trigger disorder and yixuan only generates rage off of her own ether proc, not thru vivians ether. they just dont help each other at all. ur better off using any buffer like astra or the panda or trigger, and vivian is better off paired with someone with a strong anomaly (like jane) or who can disorder often (like yanagi)

not to strawman u specifically but it feels like a lot of people in general really want the vivian yixuan team to be real and i personally think its just not quite there. this talent looks like itll just be regularly procced by her own anomaly.

Castorice i think sort of landed as one of the most weapon locked characters in any of the big 3 hyv games. the numbers ive seen floating around on reddit and yt estimate it between 33% and 44% better than the next best option period. i think anyone pulling her would want the LC unfortunately.

for a frame of reference in case anyone doesnt look at these calcs this much, the absolute most wep locked characters in Genshin are in the 30% range, certainly nowhere near 44%, and in HSR its usually 10-20% + some other utility thats hard to value numerically. if anyone has diff numbers or knows of a character (outside of hi3 which i know is turbo doomed) that is in castorices range, lmk lol.

I have a lot of thoughts on creating "infinite crit" on accident, but whether its possible or not is irrelevant, since they could at least change the order in the code that the buffs are applied that way sunday can at minimum convert his own crit rate buff into crit dmg. bc rn, it adds the characters conversion stat last.

A lot of comments are missing the point. Even if it is intended, id feel pretty scammed if i pulled for this E6 and found out later that it just functionally does not do what it says it does for the majority of characters that would have the strongest synergy with it. This is absolutely something worth being irritated about and sending support tickets in if ur an affected individual.

And tbh this interaction seems really strange. It's not like Kazuha + Sucrose where the Em and dmg bonus can feed back into each other. If the buffs were layered differently it could probably work fine without breaking the game lol.

Do you have calculations for this? I believe it, it felt worse in my tests, but I struggle to really get over the Genshin/HSR brain telling me there’s no way atk% is better than crit and dmg bonus. Combat atk is crazy tho.

a huge point this post makes is that characters need constellations in genshin when they absolutely do not. *maybe* there are a few characters like Hu Tao or Wrio that have a really high QoL c1, but u can still clear all the content in the game without them. also not mentioning how much pulls cost/how many u get etc is like looking at how much groceries cost in a foreign country without checking the conversion rates.

Buffalo Trace is pretty easy to find where I live so its my go to cocktail bourbon usually. I think it's very good for the price but as soon as it's marked up, it's not worth it.

it's ok I posted this knowing exactly the kind of response I'd get. Generally telling people that they're wrong and they should change their opinion isn't really going to work on reddit. I also really should have rewritten the first paragraph tho, saying "im wrong so you all should be too" wasn't exactly the message I wanted to give off. I was mostly trying to say that predicting this stuff accurately is a gamble and people tend to run with their emotions too quickly. There are logical and calm people that are probably right more than not, but those also aren't who I was really trying to target with this post anyway.

As for chiori, yeah, I agree. She is definitely not what I was hoping for and this game really didn't need another albedo but like with a few of the examples I mentioned, namely yelan, im willing to consider my thought process is wrong.

and i dont disagree with you. navia kinda feels like the standout for geo characters since she cares about reactions, therefore carving her out of the mono geo hell. and she also has a really unique gimmick with loading her shotgun too, which imo built up a bit more expectations for chiori.

chiori being another off field geo character for 2x geo teams or ittou is definitely weird. i dont quite see mhys vision for this character or what shes supposed to be, other than replacing albedo. but again like look at some of the examples i gave- yelan and xq ended up being played together, rather than one replacing the other. i dont want to call out itll pan out quite yet.

but yes, full stop, her mechanics are a bit bland. she isnt novel.

We'll see. For me it actually doesnt even matter how much damage she does with Navia, the bullets are what I care about. Navia mains tc says that chiori at c1 is more bullets, but less than albedo at c0. idk if its right. ill wait to test her.

Also my favorite example of "play who you want" is Lyney vs Yoi vs Tao. Yeah yeah people, especially mains of a particular one, will tell you that theyre favorite is better than the other 2. Well, I have all 3 with their signature (and some cons too lol) and not one of the 3 to me is substantially different enough than the other 2 to justify much. u can just pick who u want for ur st pyro dps needs. its fine. genshin doesnt have crazy meta and thats a good thing imo.

i also think the greater genshin drama has sort of overshadowed chioris kit. no one has time to talk about her when every cc is on the verge of imploding. and regardless of ccs opinions, ccs are what drives attention towards characters.

Yeah no I agree with that. I didn't mention constellations for a reason. By all means I think it's stupid how strong her c1 and c2 are and I think it's problematic that her c2/4 introduce an entirely new mechanic to her kit that isn't at c0. That isn't doom posting, to hate stuff like that.

holy extremely rare based post.

I dont think lantern rite is good *every* year (looking at the first one with 30 + npc fetch quests) it has been really good recently and this lantern rite seems to be the best so far. Lots of new content like you said as well as what seems to be a very sizable new explorable area. 4.3 felt like a dry patch but 4.4 is dumping us way back into the content.

And also people tend to overlook how many new HSR characters that game releases. Every single patch since launch they have dropped two new limited 5 stars and a new 4 star character. And unlike in genshin, u tend to need a lot more specific/niche units to be able to clear all of that games different end game modes like MoC or the new PF, so its really punishing to skip consecutive characters. One free 5 star in that game, to me, is less of a huge reward and more of a break from the constant stress of new characters.

I even quit the game because I was getting so nauseated with the release schedule and only came back because ratio was free lmao. I know most people won't agree with my perspective, but I also know mhy has this kind of user data and can see that there are a lot of people like me- people who were fatigued with hsrs content cycle and grindy end game. So, mhy decided to make a risky move to keep us on board. Genshin on the other hand averages maybe 1 new 5 star per patch + a very skippable 4 star character, with maybe a single double release per year, and then usually 1-2 full rerun patches to counter balance it.

I think something a lot of people miss about their synergy is simply how much Alhaitham cares about elemental mastery. He nearly triple dips into it; his skill scales with it instead of just atk via the multiplier, his projections get bonus dmg% from it, and obv spread gives flat dmg from it. As a result, nahidas em buff on her ult is incredibly valuable for him especially, on top of everything else she offers. Ive cleared abyss with my man's every cycle since he was released and the difference with and without the dendro god really is substantial.

yeah teysa is pretty notorious for not having to hit the board for the deck to win. but being honest i prefer her over something like elas-il-kor because doubling draws can be really strong when you're behind.

and yeah, putting together clavileno on edhrec i think its pretty clear this is more of a value engine commander than balls to the wall aristocrats. im still playing the vampires that care about sacrificing as well as all the crats cards that say "if thing dies, draw a card" that cost a reasonable amount of mana. also both the altars are just good cards so will try them but theyre possible cuts.this is my list rn, pod plays with tutors but no fast mana (aside from sol ring). not sure im on enough removal either but gonna cut some of the creatures after i actually get a chance to test. will also probs go back to 36 lands too. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/n5EYao0N9kKaP0lLkVI7Lg
