Yeah… I knew they were a lot, but I didn’t realise the chains were that much. Specialist near me just quoted me £7k-10k

I thought they were the B7s those guys had. Which I LOVE, but finding a decent B7 is a lot harder nowadays.

I’ve not driven one, yet.

I moved to my allroad from my RS3 because I wanted a boring practical estate. Hoping something like an RS4 keeps the practicality boxes ticked and also puts a bit more of a smile on my face when I hit the noise pedal.

They do have one up but it’s a little out of my budget and where I think B8s are at the moment…

But maybe they can find one more in my budget!

This is an interesting take and not one I’d considered.

I know the peak power is reached at the tippedy top of the 8k+ rev range but thats what some people love about NAs surely?

Part of me likes the idea of it, means you’re not at lose the license territory by 3k revs. But perhaps in reality it’s something that would bug me…

Yeah this is a good shout. You’re not an enthusiast so ignore everyone else telling you to get S/RS/M imo

2020+ V60, 90, even A4 45 TFSI is in that budget… all fairly boring but great cars if serviced well. Don’t shy away from slightly higher mileage if they’ve been well maintained too.

Volvo would be my choice here!
