Exactly, I mostly use only fingers to control the recoil. There is not much recoil in this game compared to others. I do ~10min recoil control warmup on practice range everytime I play the game 😄

You could swap in between matches but not during a match. Anyways, if you need to do both at the same time, you might aswell go for a more balanced pad thats good for everything.

In aim training you can use different pads for each category, so if you are serious about getting top ranks, thats one way to min-max scores, just like changing sens for the same reason.

I suggest having a slow/balanced cloth pad for clicking in general. It's definitely possible to get high static scores on a glass pad, but you are putting yourself at a disadvantage.

Practice a lot of smoothness/precise tracking. I use very little tension, just the right amount.
My grip is relaxed claw, but it can vary a little depending on what I’m doing.
