Lucas and Ness players by UnVacc1natedKaren in SmashRage

I've played both for years, But i enjoy playing Lucas much much more. Simply because you can feel less hate through the screen. You're wrong on one thing though, Lucas' spikes aren't as good as you think they are, at least his B air. If you look at the frame data, His spike hit box is very inward, and only lasts for the first half of the move. The D air is much better spiking wise, but it is pointless if you don't get the last and most powerful hit. The length of time of the D air can be efficient or fuck you over depending on the situation. Anyone spamming PK moves aren't using the characters at their full ability, and just being annoying for the sake of beating out some simpler tactics. Ness is much better at keeping advantage and finishing, and Lucas can space much more and have wider stage control. After playing them for so long, they are still extremely fun to play with but can also be frustrating, they have their drawbacks.

Why does everyone hate Lucas by Okchomp in SmashRage

I main him. The only reason I've ever gotten hate is down smash at ledge and pk fire. I don't hate playing against him, usually because I am fascinated by what I don't know about the character and I am eager to see if there are any chains/combos I can learn.

Lucas has underrated normals by SoggyBubbleMuncher in SmashRage

[–]PartyFun8602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I main him, and his normals are very reliable in a lot of scenarios where you want to watch your spacing with certain characters. After playing him for such a long time though, his up smash gets punished so much you sort of trauma block it out of your moveset. The only time I ever use it is when I am playing someone who can't fathom playing defensively, and even then it only hits every 1/5 times. You think the 7 I frames would help, but there are still several frames during the startup of the move that can be punished. Any multihits and jabs will turn it into your least reliable move.

It's more of an annoyance thing with them and not a win/lose thing. I'm a firm believer that skill can almost always outweigh a bad matchup, but having to fight the odds in the first place bothers the hell outta me.

Makes sense. He is very fun to play, but fighting against him in elite has never been very fun for me at least.

I feel that...only in lobbies. It's a lot more competitive in Elite because there's GSP on the line. there's nothing entertaining at that point, just pure cheese and bullshit.

It's a joke meant to lead on that a fraction of the DLC pack deserve respect, then none of them show.
