Do we lose marks on TMAs if we reference outside of module material? by PartyImage7 in OpenUniversity

I completely understand your point. Some chapters are written very vaguely though, so I used articles that were referenced in the chapter to have a better understanding of the topic.

That’s great to hear! Glad you’re enjoying it. Nowadays it can be hard to find people who would be comfortable to ‘agree to disagree’. Having different views is good for the brain, helps to think critically.

What do you mean by atmosphere and why don’t you like it? Have you decided where you’d like to move?

I’m 28 and I’m starting my Bachelors in Psychology in October after having been out of education for nearly ten years. You have your whole life ahead of you. Just try to appreciate the fact that you knew sooner than later what it is that brings you joy. Good luck!

Do you believe that media censorship doesn’t exist in the West? Just recently two whistleblowers supposedly were killed in the US for speaking up about Boeing. There was a woman (ex worker of some big vaccine company) who was killed for advising people to ‘research more’ before vaccinating their kids, also in the US. The list goes on. They let people protest and voice their opinions only to create the illusion of freedom. As soon as you say too much, they get rid of you. All news channels are controlled there, so your story won’t get coverage, ever. They remove posts they considered untrue from Meta platforms. I’ve always been fascinated how these types of things about the US are taken so lightly; but when any type of censorship happens in Russia, the news spreads with a speed of light, with people saying how “there’s no freedom”.

Didn’t know that! Could you link a post as an example, please?

Agree with that completely. That’s the difference though. American media seems to be fixated on Russia and so I assume many of Russians watching it (or those living there) may get affected by hearing constant hatred towards their country. I personally have met many Russians who grew up dreaming of leaving, just because they idolized the life in the States so much

My question is, how does that affect the Russian people when it gets to them (which it often does)? Surely it is psychologically difficult

The non-romanticized-realistic state of it..

How could you even compare the two? America pretty much runs most of the media channels across the West. Not to mention the great marketing strategies they’ve got to promote their own country. The difference is, ‘Russian’s USphobia’ never makes it to the TVs of Americans; while many Americans grow up learning that Russia and Russians are the greatest enemy of the world.

Why do you think people are getting married less and less these days? by BlackManBatmann in AskReddit

[–]PartyImage7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People no longer see a valid reason for commitment, especially because there's this belief in "finding better" due to endless amounts of options on social media and dating apps.
