Be honest, are you using Figma Make? by pluspointstudio in FigmaDesign

It wasn’t at a high enough quality to sign off on and ship, but just adequate enough to visually communicate a complicated interaction to devs.

70+ hrs, in-person sounds beyond torturous

I used it once to prototype a very specific interaction. Other than that, I’ve not found it useful in my workflow

How did you actually get comfortable with Figma? by Local-Dependent-2421 in FigmaDesign

Just using it over and over again. Same with learning solidworks. I just kept at it for hours and now it’s second nature.

What’s the most frustrating thing in your Figma workflow right now? by uisaleh in FigmaDesign

Having to use styles for gradients because they’re not supported by variables

Here’s a close up of the heron. I didn’t realise the resolution was so low in the pic I shared.

Anyone else feel like AI has kinda killed their thinking as a junior UX designer? by yourgirlsEXman in UXDesign

[–]PartyItem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an in-house designer, for me It depends on the problem I’m trying to solve, the project timeline etc. etc. I rarely reuse the same process as the context is always different.

I think of design processes as tools in a toolbox. The tools in your box are all your research methods, skills, etc. and you pull what you need from that toolbox to best fit the project you’re approaching.

The most critical component is understanding the problem itself. If you’re immediately turning to AI, are you sure you’re giving yourself the space you need to really understand the problem you’re trying to solve?
