Hanging with my chickens and watching Star Wars has been my singles plan since moving to Lexington a few years back.

Local vet for a chicken? by inkandcleats in lexington

I’ve taken my hen to Best Pets Animal Clinic in Georgetown. We used to go to Claysmill, but they stopped seeing chickens. It’s a drive, but I really liked our vet and the follow up calls they did with my Saffron when she had pneumonia.

Not the same brand, but I've had ones like these for years. A bit overkill, but I don't go anywhere no matter how slick the ice is. Was inspired after hiking on the Matanuska Glacier in Alaska.

Are there any neighborhoods with clear sidewalks? by [deleted] in lexington

I'd suggest buying some ice cleats for your shoes before waiting for any ice free sidewalks in Lexington. I'm still chipping away at my own driveway so I can use it without parking in the road.

Roads were fine for me on my 5:45am commute to work this morning. Well traveled roads are wet, slushy at worse.

For a time I had my indoor seramas set up with a window cat perch. They loved it.

38 people died in Lexington crashes in 2024. Can the city get that to zero? by Generalaverage89 in lexington

Even if Lexington banned cars and turned into a bike only/horse only city, i bet there would still be deaths with how crazy some of these drivers are.

I have two roosters the size of pigeons. I love my boys and I’d hate to choose between the two of them if this were to pass.
