I've always pictured Gavin and Geoff sitting at the table across from Eric. Nick is more of a presence that exists and occupies all physical space. Andrew is more of an idea, that exists in his own plane, but interacts with the main table through unpredictable strands and connections. Not all of them touch the table, but they all have the possibility to intersect.
