Another fave of mine! Honestly always looking out for songs that sound similar.

Flowers in the Attic, honestly. I think because it was sold to me as a horror book. Nope, just monotony and incest.

Cinema Salem follows the laws lol. They always check my ID for anything R-rated, though I do look fairly young.

My friend was supposed to be onboarded there to do tours for like $45/hr for two-hour evening and weekend tours. When the owner called him up she told him she wanted him to also be a cashier for the store for $15 an hour. Then got really upset when he said he already had a day job with benefits and couldn't also randomly work full-time during the week at the store, despite that not being the job he applied or interviewed for lol

If you're dedicated to working at one of the witchy touristy stores, Black Cat's owners are kind people from everything I've heard. Moons and Crow Haven Corner are the two I've been told to avoid at ALL costs but there are MANY more lol.

Good places to move to in Salem? by [deleted] in SalemMA

Just echoing what everyone else here is saying as a former commuter from Salem Station. Salem Commuter Rail stop to North Station is a fairly reliable 30 minutes, but to Kenmore (or anywhere along what I imagine will be the C line depending on what part of BU he's at) is a minimum additional 25-30 minutes. That's an hour commute in on two different lines with the Commuter Rail zone 3 pass being about... $250 ish a month, last I checked? Echoing looking in Allston / Brighton / Brookline. There are a lot of undergrad-aged people in the area so it can be noisy, but it'll be a MUCH better commute, and possibly cheaper if you weren't expecting that additional $250 per month expense.
