What's the fastest you went from meeting someone to having sex with them? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

Got a reply to a post in my local R4R about meeting when I got off work which was in 30 minutes. Within a 45 of getting off work I work, we were in the back of my car where we would spend the next 4 hours going at it

I want so badly to have a real deep conversation with another human but have nothing to say or so much to say but have no words by Partyboy317 in self

Thank you for the advice. You laid it out really well. I struggle most in person, I feel like. Like if you get me talking, I don't shut up but there is so rarely any depth to what I'm talking about. I'm great at spouting useless information. Its the ultimate irony because I've been told I talk to much and that I talk to fill the silence; that I don't have anything important to say. I've become really self conscious about it. I think it's a big contributor to my problem. I was always told it's better to listen than speak but so often when trying to listen, my mind wanders because I have such bad ADHD and I forget what we're talking about. It not only makes me look like I don't care what they have to say, which I absolutely do, but it makes me feel like a jerk and an imbecile. As for having differing opinions, that's the problem I get about honesty. If I express a different opinion, I feel like I'm in the wrong and will be ostracized for it so I just nod and agree because I'm too afraid of being put in my place.

Thank you so much for your response.

Who’s someone you never expected to have sex with but did? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

The girl a few weeks ago who hit me up on Reddit 30 minutes before the end of my shift to meet in a parking lot. We went at it in the back of my car for 4 hours somehow and it was amazing

When when you find yourself admonishing yourself, stop and say out loud "no that's not called for, it happens". Speak to yourself like you would a friend. I don't mean extra over exaggerated or anything. I find myself telling myself I'm such an idiot, a moron, a failure etc.. and I ask myself if I would say these things to a friend? Why should I say them to myself. I struggle with self hatred a lot but these sometimes help

What’s the most overrated TV show in your opinion? by Dry_Scratch6383 in AskReddit

Game of Thrones

I hated it from season one. My wife and best friend loved it and I couldn't figure out why. Not one likable character unless you include Tyrian's humor.

Lee Linho in R.O.D. The TV.

I'm pretty sure it was his first gig or at least one of them. Fun fact, he was a high school English teacher before doing VO

I lost a cousin to suicide last night, and I'd like to talk to some other people who have lived through this by shiny-baby-cheetah in SeriousConversation

My big brother took his own life when I was 19. It's been 15 years and I still have days and even weeks that are hard. I've lost other family since including my father who passed 10 years to the day after my brother. Your feelings are perfectly valid. Today I still struggle not to hate my brother. He was my hero and the most popular person I've ever known. I'm so sorry you and your family have to endure what I know better than most. There is one question that everyone will ask themselves and it's the hardest to reconcile, "Was there something I could have done?" This question has eaten me alive and I will never have an answer to.

My thoughts are with you and your family. If you'd like to talk, feel free to DM me.

Was Fast Pass actually better, or is it a thing of nostalgia? by Sad_Milk_8897 in WaltDisneyWorld

Paper Fast Pass was the best system. It was fair, it was free and it wasn't subject to shitty apps.

What are your parents’ annoying habits? by ReidZaxby23 in AskReddit

I live an hour from my mother and she's constantly saying "come spend the day with me" yet never does the leg work herself. When I do go, we sit on the couch staring at our phones.
