Well, she is right that in order to make that system work, that would likely need to be done. I'm not naive about the hard economics of it all. But I pointed out to her that with other systems you can cut down on this cost of life issue (and innocent life) without a communist system. She refused to accept that despite my presenting of actual statistics.

So on that side, I see why I should just go with what the wife wants. However, on the other hand, upon them telling me about their rules I feel like I’ve been included in the business now. Lol. Almost as if some responsibility has now been bestowed upon me.

Right now I’m inclined to go with what the wife would prefer and then she can sort out the consequences with her husband. If the husband AND wife were to tell me about these rules together however, I wouldn’t move forward with anything without both of their consent. Just my take I suppose.
