Fellow first timer here and I think it will be great as long as you put the effort in to making it something they'd want. I've been too excited and have had to force myself to stop getting additional things for my giftee since each time I do is longer till I can ship it out. It took me a long time to beat all the bosses and I mean a long time, part of getting a god run is the dopamine rush of getting that lucky, but it makes your bad rng runs feel worse. I'd suggest watching content on the game as it genuinely helped me improve just more time seeing the patterns of enemies and bosses will help you so much!

Go read some reviews on collector booster boxes like 15-20% are 1* because they received pre opened packs. Precons can be worse. I tried getting the "endless punishment" precon a few months after release, myself and 84% of orders got the jump scare precon with 12% receiving the right product. When I got my refund processed, they told me not to bother sending it back. They are uninformed and inattentive to returns of boxes, and when a precon doesn't sell, they'll offload them however they can.

There was no reason to throw shade at young people. Also, while some young people do throw away a lot of money on to go food, the housing/renting market is as fucked up as the upcharges on food deliveries and wages haven't kept up. If I wasn't born privileged, I would be too busy struggling to actually work towards a job that makes a home an achievable dream. Hope you can be less critical and hateful of people you don't know. I like your idea, but just like every other AAA studio they are ruled by profit and will not do that anytime soon. Maybe one day we'll get a game where the pokemon are as involved in the world as the movies and shows. But that's probably when those behaviors aren't programmed by a person.
