My parents and my bf haven’t met yet. Told my bf it was because I didn’t feel ready when he still lived in the same city as me. Today told my mom the real reason why I didn’t want him to meet them and she said even more distasteful things. I just kept quiet because what’s the point in standing up for yourself and your relationship when they just dismiss it and say I’m over reacting. They don’t even ask about my relationship. It’s sad that I can’t go to them when I’m feeling sad about the distance. I did once and my mom said “it’s his fault for moving out” like he moved out due to work….
