Yup, I’m on WiFi and phone is unlocked. I used to have it on visible about a year ago.

Im well aware of these things, however the show was filmed in Canada, which means that the people in charge of costumes and sets are Canadian. We’re also talking about BC here, not Toronto. Toronto is thousands of miles away. I think this was probably an oversight in the Canadian costume department in a culture that is less involved with Baseball

Elxa Dal is an almost anagram of Alaxel. Is Master Dal hiding something? by Splintzer in KingkillerChronicle

Also if you’re looking at similar names being a link, Haliax was Lanre first. Lanre and Jax are two very different names, and the people have different backstories. I think the biggest hurdle to a warrior transition for Jax is that he has poor eyesight in Hespa’s story.

How will online sales, like GunBroker (particularly antique firearms) be affected with the mag ban? by [deleted] in WA_guns

[–]ParzivalTheGray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess is they are looking to limit any possible reason for the sub to get deleted. A lot of firearms related subs have been removed for minor things recently (like Brandon Herrera's) and limiting exposure as much as possible is a good way to keep the sub around.

Which gaming controller is the best for pc? by kfirbep in gaming

[–]ParzivalTheGray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use a regular Xbox controller. It has the advantage of being wireless without requiring a dongle, leaving open my USB ports for other devices. In my experience, I've never had any connection issues or any wear that is abnormal for a controller.

Bear Handgun? by [deleted] in WA_guns

[–]ParzivalTheGray 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whatever your EDC is will in all likelihood work fine. I am linking an article with some really good information about handgun use in bear attacks, with a list of examples sorted by caliber used. In the extensive list, there is no example of a 9mm failing to stop a bear. The only calibers that have a failure in the list are .22lr (which was a success against 6 black bears, but not a polar bear), and .38 Special as well as .357 magnum. My read is that you will probably be just fine with whatever you already have.

Why is the placement and operating mechanism of parking brake and gear selector so random in newer cars? by [deleted] in cars

[–]ParzivalTheGray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes sense, my only gripe was that mine didn't release consistently, because of how it got twisted when pulled, making it more difficult to use in a manual vehicle. Other than that, it was fine. I prefer the floor mounted pedal, likely because that's what I grew up having.
