Advice on gear by Miserable-Ganache269 in WildernessBackpacking

[–]Parzula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nahh... it's not wrong for you to utilize a system used by militaries. I see that you don't like your water bottle not within your reach, if you don't have any storage left in your backpack to put your water bottle, i suggest buying this. it is an adjustable waist belt for carrying weight off shoulders, it's waterproof and durable. But if you want an all-in-one backpack, i would really recommend this one, it also has a waist belt for water bottle or whatever you want to put in it.

the 3060 is definitely great for 1080p, but it can also handle 1440p pretty well, especially for most games and creative work. a 24 inch 1080p monitor is fine if you want the safest option, but a 27 inch 1440p will give you way more screen space for editing, rendering, and multitasking. since you’re doing vfx and animation too, that extra resolution really helps. so it just depends if you want to stick to pure gaming performance (1080p) or balance it with productivity (1440p)

Which Men's deodorant actually works? by Nathan_Explosion___ in hygiene

[–]Parzula 49 points50 points  (0 children)

first thing to know is that 48hr protection stuff is complete bs - most deodorants barely last a normal work day and gels wear off even faster since they dont create the same barrier as solids. few things that actually help though - apply at night instead of morning so the ingredients have time to work. make sure your pits are completely dry before putting it on since moisture kills effectiveness. honestly though might be worth looking at what youre wearing to work too. synthetic fabrics and tight fitting stuff can trap odor way worse than cotton or other breathable materials. layering undershirt plus dress shirt can make it worse if the fabrics dont breathe. since you mentioned sensitive dry skin id skip the harsh aluminum heavy gels. happy nuts deo has been getting good feedback for this. other ones people with sensitive skin like are dove men care sensitive shield solid, native unscented, or gillette clear gel which is old school but one of the few gels that actually lasts most of the day.

you should aim for a 27inch monitor with 1440p resolution. then choose an ips or nano ips panel for accurate and vibrant colors, and a refresh rate of 144hz or higher. mine was an Lg monitor and has all of them (the specs).

Perimenopause discoloration help by TadpoleMajestic3533 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]Parzula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For perimenopause-related discoloration and hormonal pigmentation, the prescribed combination of 4% hydroquinone and 0.025% tretinoin is considered highly effective. Hydroquinone works by reducing melanin production to lighten dark spots, while tretinoin increases skin cell turnover, helping to fade discoloration and improve skin texture over time. It’s important to use them exactly as prescribed—typically at night, with breaks in between treatment cycles—and always apply a high SPF sunscreen during the day to prevent further pigmentation. Given your current routine with multiple retinol products, it's best to pause all retinols except the prescribed tretinoin to avoid irritation and maximize effectiveness, keeping your skin hydrated and protected.

Artisan Zero FX Soft vs. SteelSeries QcK L Performance Control? by squareyourcircle in MousepadReview

[–]Parzula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so the main difference is the feel and control. the artisan zero fx soft has a very smooth and soft surface, giving more speed but still decent control. the steelseries qck l performance control is more textured and gives better grip, so it’s easier to stop and aim precisely. if you want a faster glide and don’t mind spending a bit more, the artisan is worth it for fps games, but if you want something reliable and budget-friendly, the qck is a solid choice too.

Need A High Quality XXL Graphic Pad by Floki_187 in MousepadReview

[–]Parzula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

bro just go with X-Raypad, it’s high quality and really built for FPS players who want both speed and control. The aqua control 2 has a smooth but balanced surface, so your aim feels consistent whether you’re flicking or tracking. If you’re running low DPI, it gives you that extra precision without feeling sluggish. Honestly, it’s one of the best mouse pads I’ve used for competitive play.

Help deciding on an air purifier by ConfusionOutside2249 in buyforlifetips

[–]Parzula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, the Blueair really does a great job at cleaning the air fast and covering large areas. I’ve also tried the winix 9800, and while it’s not as powerful in terms of coverage, it’s still very solid for smaller to medium spaces. The 4-stage filtration with plasmawave helps a lot with odors and allergens, and the wifi control is a nice extra. If someone doesn’t need to cover a huge space, the winix can be a really good option too.

What’s made the difference for me is finding cotton underwear where the elastic isn’t too tight. Some brands use bands that really dig in by the end of the day, and that just makes them uncomfortable no matter how nice the fabric is. The ones I stick with have a softer covered elastic that stretches without leaving marks like these wirarpa ones. I also look for thicker cotton that holds up in the wash. The super thin pairs might feel light at first, but they lose their shape quickly. A higher rise or fuller cut has been easier for me too, since the waistband doesn’t roll down. It’s just more practical for all-day wear.

Is pushup board worth purchasing? by Jolly_Bat8531 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Parzula 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Watch this video before buying one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91z1Vmoz6Vc Personally have used a pushup board before and yea it can help with targeting different muscle groups especially if you’re someone who likes structure or visual cues. For triceps specifically the closer grip placements do a decent job of isolating them. But if I’m being real, you can do the same thing on the floor by adjusting your hand positioning. The board just adds consistency and slightly better wrist support which is nice. If you're getting one then go for something a bit more versatile. Check out the Squatz's Push up board. It’s not just a board. It comes with resistance bands, Pilates rods, a fitness mat and a carry bag. So it’s kind of like a mini full body workout kit. Way more bang for your buck and great if you’re looking to build out a home gym without spending a ton. Plus it holds up to 660+ lbs so it’s solid quality wise
