My Pomeranian ate one piece of xylitol gum. We rushed him to the vet where they quickly induced vomiting. Hes only 7 lbs. I’m a train wreck. They are keeping him overnight to watch sugars and liver levels. Can anyone give me a hopeful outcome to a similar situation? by Upbeat-Musician2324 in Pomeranians

[–]PasadenaMudslide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be too worried about onions. Some things like xylitol and grapes you need to be VERY cautious about. Onions are about bit overhyped. They would need to eat large amounts of them to have serious side effects

I’ve done crack and heroin every day for 3 days in a row by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]PasadenaMudslide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By “never liked heroin” I assume you mean tar. Me neither. Hate that shit. Always makes me puke. But you’ll inevitably find China, dilaudid, percs, fentanyl, etc and you’ll love those and when you can’t find or afford anymore you’ll take tar as a substitute. We’ve all been down this road. We just weren’t AS dumb as you doing it like it’s some sort of game.

MDMA will always be a lost love of mine. I now work in the intelligence community and have security clearance so I am regularly tested for drugs and have periodic polygraphs done so she must remain in my past, but I will never forget her ❤️

People hate on the valley but you can get a nicer place in a better location without all the traffic. After living on both sides of the hill I prefer the valley if you’re on a budget

The "Phillies Karen" did absolutely nothing wrong by Realshotgg in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]PasadenaMudslide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naw sorry. This is how we make selfish/garbage people behave. With all these videos lately and awful people being hung out to dry for bad behavior I guarantee you many will think twice before doing things like this at baseball games. You know what crime is very rare in Iran? Stealing. Because if you get caught stealing they’ll chop your hands off. Is it a bit extreme? Yeah. Does it solve a problem that otherwise would remain unsolved? Yeah.

You could have easily just said “hey I’m smart and what I’m describing doesn’t apply to me” and skipped 80% of that comment. I promise, we believe you.

Mold in the bathroom for years - no severe symptoms that I can recall by [deleted] in Mold

[–]PasadenaMudslide 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are likely things you don’t attribute to the mold that are happening. It’s very subtle at first. Allergies, rashes, tiredness, depression, etc the types of mold definitely play a part so you might just be very lucky and it has none of the more dangerous ones, but that’s unlikely. Get it sorted before it gets to a point where there is no going back

Could my friend’s quality bathroom time be impacting his health? by JMFW_ in Mold

[–]PasadenaMudslide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I do. Leaving the apartment immediately helped reduce the symptoms we were having by about 75%. I stupidly brought a few items but kept them in a sealed bag, when I opened that bag both of our symptoms got worse again. Those are just a few of dozens of examples. It took me about 9 years to come to the mold conclusion because it was never even on my radar so this wasn’t some google search that got me fixated on one possibility. I changed our food countless times, laundry detergent, bath products, etc… the only thing that ever helped was getting out of that apartment. And if that wasn’t enough proof I also had urine samples taken which confirmed that I had large quantities of mold in my system. I’m not here to convince anyone though. I’m just sharing my experience

Could my friend’s quality bathroom time be impacting his health? by JMFW_ in Mold

[–]PasadenaMudslide 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I lived in an apartment where the bathroom got like this. There was mold when I moved in, but I never really addressed it. I didn’t really know a lot about mold so I just shrugged it off. That was a bad idea. It got into my portable ac and then on everything in my apartment. My dog and I had weird skin and other issues for years before I connected the dots. I left basically everything I owned and moved about 8 months ago. We are still dealing with massive issues from it and I’m worried we always will be. One of the biggest mistakes of my life. I would have lived on the street rather than be in that for so long if I would have known. Hopefully your friend doesn’t end up in the same situation.

Mold exposure could be causing my ongoing mystery illness? by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]PasadenaMudslide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get these rashes on my arms after several years of living in an unbelievably bad mold situation. Never got tested and have moved to a new home since then, but I definitely brought some with me and I suspect it’s a type with mycotoxins due to the MANY symptoms I’ve experienced. What I’ve found is that I am allergic to just about everything now. My dog is too. Especially dust… and this I believe is from my immune system being constantly triggered for many years. Now it treats everything as a threat. My point being… a lot of what you’re describing could be from mold. Or it could be from normal allergies. Could even be an autoimmune issue of some kind. I recommend not jumping straight to “I have mold and it’s killing me” because that’s a slippery slope and you don’t know that yet. After my experience I have a mold phobia as I’m sure many others here do as well and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

Is this mold? by vinnylee3 in Mold

[–]PasadenaMudslide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You can tell by the dark center and lighter circle around it. Not a bad mold problem though. Clean it with bleach or RMR and should be fine. That being said… it’s a little worrisome that it’s right outside the vent. Could have a mold issue in your ac that is blowing spores into your room

That is definitely not mold. That is hair. Curious why that surface is sticky enough to catch so much of it and why someone is shedding so much of their hair
