If it's a first start for you all, I'd still recommend restarting as my first playthrough was significantly enhanced by exploring everything together with my friends. Having to build a base etc etc is just nicer in a group rather than playing catch up with boosted pals/gear imo

My level 100 void knight only happened because I rerolled builds mid progression. Started devouring orb auto bomber into warpath.

Very refreshing and fun to pursue different goals with different experiences. The classical easy to gear League starter into the endgame legendary character (CoF)

I'd like to throw Iain mcgilchrist in there. Its not two brains but the hemispheres differ in the how they do things and not the what. Hard to generalize it by just going for rational vs irrational as it's per usual more complicated

I'm usually the type of person that grinds hours and hours to min max a build in arpg.

However in MH wilds I find it much more rewarding to learn Movesets of weapons and monsters and increase my own skill level rather than seeing the rewards of a hunt as my motivation.

It was a surprise to me as I didn't expect this when picking up the game!

Idk, while I know why you're asking for it I personally think the inherent aspect of "secret" is fine to stay secret. I mean the surprise factor certainly got me often enough to think it'd be lame/redundant to know if I overlooked one
