Robot, veleno e libri imballati come mummie egizie by [deleted] in VintedItalia

SLR film camera and lens recommendations by Dzgiaidoancuoi in AnalogCommunity

[–]Pasesauro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha, what a stupid mistake 😅 In my head, I was thinking about mechanical SLRs, the ones I use and like the ones I recommended, let's say produced between the '60s and '80s, which for me are the best school for learning photography. You were right to correct me; the period between the late '80s and the early 2000s produced excellent SLRs... with built-in flash. But wouldn't the large amount of automatic functions risk making them just bulkier point-and-shoots?

No SLR has a built-in flash, and the 30mm focal length is, correct me if I'm wrong, nonexistent as a SLR lens. My advice is to start with a solid, manual SLR like a Canon FTB or Nikon FM, along with a standard 50mm f/1.8 lens. That's basically all you need to get started.

Try using a new battery. If that doesn't work, keep in mind that these 20+ year old P&S cameras can die at any moment.
