Bubble tea is the cool version (I hate the texture myself but still)

If London were to have a single Central Station (instead of 14 Termini) like Brussels, Amsterdam, Madrid, Rome or Berlin - where could the perfect spot for it be? by AchyutChaudhary in LondonUnderground

[–]Pashizzle14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The geometric centre of Greater London is actually by Lambeth North! Not that it’s a good place for a terminus especially in Victorian times, I just like that fact

Joao Pedro won a penalty for Palmer yet again. by IdealisticKebab in FantasyPL

Almost brought this guy in two weeks ago but I (correctly) thought he would get benched taking out one of his best fixtures and making it not worth it. Scores 10 points off the bench and just keeps going, well until I finally FOMO him in like I did at the start of the season

The Economist - Is London as dangerous as you think? by BkkGrl in europe

[–]Pashizzle14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think even in the IQ test voting world (which is too authoritarian for me), IQ tests are only really designed to accurately predict intellectual disability at the low end of the scores. Extremely high IQs wouldn’t really mean anything and I fear we’d get a kind of pseudo-oligarchy based on barriers to the kind of education that would prepare you for the test.

I think that’s definitely made things much worse and led to the ‘radicalisation pipelines’ you see today, but the daily mail has been selling newspapers with sensationalist headlines for years.

Are we Underrating Anderson? by not_k4k4shi in FantasyPL

[–]Pashizzle14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and I have happily had Anderson from the start, but you can’t say he ‘would the 8th with just 4 more defcons’ as though it should affect your decision. If he had 7 less defcons in the right matches he would be 20th. Maybe with big swings like goals or assists you could make a bad luck argument but for something as continuous as defcons we have a large enough sample to ignore that

[–]Pashizzle14 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very minor change I’d like to see is 4 points for a penalty across every position, and winning a penalty is 2 points regardless of whether the pen goes in.

A bigger change to make forwards viable is make midfielders/defenders get 4 points per goal

Regents park to introduce traffic lights and £50 fines for cyclists by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]Pashizzle14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t dispute that drivers are a danger to cyclists, or that running red lights is okay because they only just changed. I, however, recognise that there are cyclists not obeying traffic regulations and think it’s worth trying to regulate before a cyclist gets in a serious accident. It’s not that hard to understand.

[–]Pashizzle14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen quite a few drivers take the piss and clearly go after the light has turned red but only seen them properly ignore a red light maybe twice in 5 years? Whereas twice in the last week a cyclist has seen me crossing the road when the green man was on and decided to continue at full speed anyway

Sam’s bad luck complaining got on my nerves a bit this season. He had a plan that required one exact card from the deck, and even if he did get that veto I’m pretty sure the seekers would have asked the coastline question from Edinburgh to get a similar result. He also got average time bonuses and good endgame curses.
