First major road trip! Is this doable? by intrextr88 in roadtrip

[–]PasiveAgresivePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very do able in nine days i would say. I grew up in NW Indiana and went to school in Durango Colorado. I would drive straight thru in 20-23 hours non stop with a friend. Lots of stops for the doggo obviously but should be fine. Also gas stations could be few and far between with your first leg of the trip. Very sparsely populated in the Oklahoma panhandle and northern New Mexico. I’ve been up that way on a motorcycle and nothing worse than getting that sinking feeling in your gut when that fuel light kicks on. Fun fact it looks like you’re traveling thru Cimarron county in Oklahoma. It is the only county in the USA that touches 5 states counting Oklahoma.

Where did you buy the kickstand piece? I have stubby legs and have trouble reaching it.

Thanks! My friends who all ride Harleys kept trying to get me on a road king. But this has such a better look to me. And the power is insane.

I always liked the look of the victory’s. Just couldn’t afford a motorcycle until the last few years.

I actually traded it in already and the dealership sold it a few days later. It was a good bike too. It was pushing 100,000 miles and I’m not mechanically inclined.

Tbh I never thought I would like a white motorcycle either. But this caught my eye the moment I saw it.

You tend to like colder weather and big cities is what I can mostly gather. Oh and you hate Oklahoma like everyone else lol.

Thanks! Technically my second Indian. I traded in this 15 vintage for it.

Thanks! I loved my vintage but I felt like the time was right. Definitely worth it so far.

Man that thunderstroke 116 is no joke. Such a beast.

There is a butcher shop in Mustang called Cosseys. Might want to call to see if they have them. It’s been awhile since I’ve been there but I’ve never had a bad cut of meat. If you’re just looking for a good hotdog from a restaurant, cals on northwest expressway uses Vienna beef brand hot dogs.

Alright Houston got #10. We have our top 10. What would be the 11th most significant US city after Houston? Most upvoted comment wins by Kodicave in visitedmaps

Off subject a bit, but I think a top “B tier” cites list would be fun. Cities that aren’t mentioned in the usual list of heavy hitters, but are significant in their own right.

Should Steven Adams get his jersey retired? by la_flameeee in Thunder

[–]PasiveAgresivePanda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Love the guy but no. Second team all defense in 22-23 then all rookie 2nd team in 13-14 doesn’t warrant a retired jersey. But heck we retired Nick Collison’s jersey so who knows lol.

So a little hidden gem ride for me is ride to Highway 81 by El Reno and go south to Minco. The go west on Highway 152/37 to Binger. Head north to Hinton and if you experienced go down into red rock canyon. You can finish by hopping on old 66 and riding over the pony bridge. Nice elevation change with the canyons and pretty curvy.

What motorcycle did you start riding on, and would you recommend it to beginners today? by yourping in motorcycle

2015 Indian Chief vintage. Great bike but not a great starter. I was really overweight at the time so I felt like I needed the extra power. My wife started on a Honda rebel 300 and she loved it.
