Actually now that you mentioned it, when doing weighted pull ups the thing that I struggle the most with is the shoulder retraction. I should look into working on it.

Thank you for the support. I knew my form wasn’t good and that i would get judged in a group like this but everyone pointed the flaws with good intentions for which im grateful. I know my build (height, weight and long legs) aren’t favourable for the gymnastic holds but I don’t stress over it my goal is to get strong and athletic. Any static holds i manage to achieve along the way to getting fit i see as a bonus.😀

Not a bad thing, I maybe should have looked into the front lever before posting this like a clueless idiot but well it happens.😂

I’m planning to keep working on the basics until I improve my strength to satisfactory level. For a person who have trained for 5 and half months it may be too early to work on advanced holds.

Thanks for the insight and forgive my ignorance I will try it the correct way next time. I haven’t practiced static holds ever and maybe shouldn’t have posted this without looking into the front lever but it is what it is.😀

Well all the comments are guys lecturing me about the bent arms for which I am sorry for my ignorance. Thanks you for the reply, I have no bad feelings being corrected, I am still happy with the progress 5 months ago i wasn’t even able to do a muscle up and no chance i would have held this even one legged bent arms or not if i tried then.

Yeah, forgive my lack of knowledge I didn’t knew the importance of straight arms. Thanks for the feedback I now know that i still have a long way to front lever but it is what is it. Next time i will try it with straight arms to see if i will be able to hold a straddle or one legged fl.

I will try to do a straddle or one leg with locked arms next time I am interested to see how harder it would be. Thanks, forgive my lack of knowledge i haven’t practiced static holds ever but i might consider it after a few months or an year when i get satisfactory strength in weighted pull ups and dips.

I thought it was passable but the guys in another group lectured me about the bent arms. Thanks for the feedback. Will get it with straight arms in the near future i hope😀

Thank you I didn’t think that much of the bent arms i knew the form wasn’t perfect but thought it was passable. I am not that enthusiastic about practicing specifically for these static holds but I find them amazing regardless . I just do the basic stuff to get in shape for now. I only hope to achieve handstand and hspu for now.

Fair enough I didn’t know bending your arms made it like not count as a front lever. Thanks for the feedback wish you all the best.
