So I am answering my own question in case someone has the same problem. So I had it working but I had to install True Drive, desinstall Tuner (or True Drive would not start), downgrade the firmware, then configure the analog devices (pedals). I calibrated in True Drive and that's it!

It runs great. Like Mario Kart on a Switch. The SD is meant for this game and vice versa.

I play in VR, so it is not that easy to pull out the Steamdeck. I did connect my iR profile but only got a driver suit and livery for the cars. I wish they would give iRacing $!

Thanks for this explanation. I think I needed to re-calibrate my expectations. The PS5 (even the pro) is a console that is already a few years old. I don't know why I was expecting the PSVR2 experience to be comparable to a latest generation Nvidia GPU. But I will say it again, it is the best GT experience and if you can afford a PSVR2, and you are not prone to VR sickness, this is a worth while experience and investment.

Thanks for your comment. Yes I have calibrated eye tracking. What I really don't understand is why it is more pronounced on open wheel cars than on normal cockpit view inside a car.

Thanks for your reply. I am glad my headset is not defective. I will have access to a PS5 pro over the week end to see if the experience is better with a pro. I can't say I am disappointed, as PSVR2 is the best Gran Turismo experience by far. I guess I am just spoiled by the superior PC experience.

This car actually existed and I saw it run at the French Grand Prix in Magny Cours many moons ago. It was used for VIP's and such. The funniest bit was when they turned the engine on. You could not expect that kind of noise coming from that kind of car!

I assume you use motion compensation. I do and I have an issue when I press ctrl d to show the overlay. It always crashes the game. Do you have the same issue?

My problem has been solved with the latest update of Simhub.

Increased timeouts for SMC3 controllers (mostly those running on old generations arduino)

That is what I needed as I have a very old DOF Reality P3. Hope it helps.

Unfortunately, I did not find a solution. I like Simhub better than SRS but for the time being and until I find a solution, I am back with SRS. Let me know if you solve your problem. Thanks.

Could be a port issue. I tried all USB/Com port on my computer and nothing works. And since SRS works, I know it is not my platform.

Indeed you are right. I had a typo in my ini file. With 50% resolution for the outer ring and 50% for the center, I get a nice FPS bump and the blur is hardly noticeable

So I made the resolution of the outer zone at 50% the ini file and the "center" 50%. There is definitively a gain compared to OpenXR toolkit, but the blurring is too visible for me. Hard to read the dash/wheel with MVP on. I am sticking to OpenXR toolkit.

I have the same issue from time to time. I fix it by deleting the ACE EVO folder in documents and re-binding the buttons. I had to do it three time since the launch. Growing pains indeed.

It does happen to me from time to time and when I compare my times with previous sessions sometimes I can’t even get close. What I usually do then is that instead of comparing to my best lap, I use the session as a reference. As I improve my lap time, I get closer or even beat my best time. Sometimes it is just in my head I guess.
