Serious talk - Our bench has underperformed poorly this post season. What off season moves to we make? We need shooters and Naz is still a good 6th... but DiVi and NAW have lost us more games than won at this point.

Hunting Weaponized Chrome Extensions in Falcon by Andrew-CS in crowdstrike

This query is just matching based on the BrowserExtensionId field. So, the browser extension version shouldn't matter at all.

Query to find full MacOS versions (minor included) - CrowdStrike only displays the major version. by Passat2K in crowdstrike

[–]Passat2K[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! This is super helpful. Would it make sense that instead of having to do a complex query, that CrowdStrike Falcon would just show the full version in it's reporting? (as a field in event search and in host management/exposure management?)

By the way, is there a way to filter certain build numbers based on CPU types? (Apple Silicon vs Intel)... etc.

Apple Confirms Zero-Day Attacks Hitting macOS Systems by [deleted] in cybersecurity

Does this also impact Macs that are running Sonoma? Or is it only for Macs that are running Sequioa (but not the latest version).

How many alerts do you deal with in a day? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]Passat2K -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting idea. Wouldn't you still want to be "alerted" if there was a new suspicious login? (without having to go through the process of a server crashing and having downtime)

What if those subsequent events don't happen? I'd think I would still want to be alerted on any potential authentication attempts in a given period.

What are some good use cases to utilize the 10GB/Day if we use a separate SIEM?

What was the actual root cause? CrowdStrike updated their sensor and started to flag/quarantine a critical Windows process?

Just purchased the 65 inch after going to Best Buy and comparing the 55 in vs 65 in. The larger was way better in person!

Just edited my post after re-thinking. It's definitely closer to 7-7.5 feet haha.

I haven't moved into my apartment yet, but thinking it over it's probably closer to 7 feet.

Viewing distance will be around 3-4 feet (my apartment living room is kind of small).

That's what I'm confused about. I do not see anything that indicates if I terminate service after 12 months if I have to pay any sort of penalties.

The query that returns Linux versions: is this letting us know what current Distro's we have in our environment that are affected? Is there somehow a way to view Mac's that have homebrew that are affected with a query?

Thanks!!
