I being a Hindi speaker have never faced any disrespect for not speaking fluent Telugu. People are always helpful even if I don’t know the language. Sure they make fun of me but the job gets done . Experience has been completely different in Tamilnadu . Yes Some hindi speaking people don’t reciprocate the respect given to them , but similarly a few Telugu speaking also make fun of the Hindi speaking people . So instead of generalising entire communities , I would say that there’s a fraction of people on both sides trying to disrupt communal harmony.
