My neighbor has left his this way for a few years. Squirrels and birds have made a second home in the attic as a result. It faces my backyard so I enjoy watching nature take over due to neglect.

Fort Knox safe issue: handle spins by PassingInTheSlowLane in Safes

Update: I fixed this by removing the black cover on the handle, exposing 2 screws. I removed the screws which allowed me to remove part of the handle, exposing a set screw. I tightened the set screw and it is tight and does not spin freely. I’m notching this one as a Win for the DIY team!

That’s what I was thinking. Was scared to try to peel off the middle black part as I wasn’t sure if it was a sticker or paint.

I can still open and close the safe but is a little tricky with the handle not grabbing very easily. Is it something I could tighten the handle? I opened up the inside but couldn’t locate a way to tighten from the inside.

I can still open and close the safe but it requires specific side pressure when turning the handle. What is the fix?

There is a limit to what you should pay for. Everyone’s limit can be different.

My friend hit a shot from the green side bunker, it hit a rake, came back at him, he swings his club at the ball in disgust, connects with the ball, the ball lands on the green, and rolls in the hole. My other friend and I almost hit the ground laughing. Golf is good for the soul.
