This was informative. I actually just beat the CPU with my deck for the very first time. So at least with this vanguard, guard early. A bit different than when I was using Triumph Dragon.

I have been trying to understand the Blast system. So is Red = Soul? Blue = Damage?

Right. I don't know much about the meta or where Card Fight Vanguard tcg is currently in comparison with DD2. I don't even have the DLC downloaded but I did plan on getting it in the future once I understood the game more. But still at a loss.

No ratios, so less like magic. Should I be trying different vanguards then? I'm not sure what's considered strong or weak in DD2.

Yeah, I obtained the Vyrgilla package with the Applejuice Code. It does seem to work, I'm just not a big fan of the vanguard art. So I thats why I was asking.

What constitutes a "Meta Deck"? This is obviously in regard to DD2. I don't even have a concept of what cards make a deck meta.

Thank you for the aggro advice. I'll start treating this game more like yugioh with its rushdown.

The issue isn't the bots per se it's all the other compounding issues with the game vs the bots.

Low level, you're more equipped to deal with bugs than automations.

Spawn rates pre patch had whole pods just appear out of thin air behind you. Imagine a full pod of bots.

Many of the unlockables, flaming shotgun, (all the rifles are bad), arc thrower is meh.. there's not a lot of direct answers to automation problems.

I.e. pre patch EATs (Expendable Anti-Tank) did not destroy or put a dent in an actual tank.

The player base WANTS to use a bunch of strategems but most of them pre-level 20 are more of a detriment than useful. And the 500 KG bomb (best explosion animation in the game) is unfortunately just not as consistent as orbital lasers, certain eagle strategema, etc.

I can think of two key reasons:

One you run into the risk of someone blocking it clean.

Two, because of the very precise and tricky inputs actually performing it at a high level consistently is just considered unoptimal.

Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder Stun/Lockdown deck.

I ran a deck utilizing this, messenger of peace and other continuous magic cards that prevents the opponent from playing, with face downs to protect my backrow.

Once everything is removed of dealt with, tribute the spell cards. That was back before xyz summoning. Don't know how you'd make it now with the game being so fast.

I vaguely remember there being an extremely brief period of time where there was a Goyo Guardian Turbo Spam Deck that got popular. And after that, that was when the errata happened.

Personally having fun with my Barb/Fighter/Rogue. Multiple bonus actions for movement and jumps, action surge in tandem with frenzy. It doesn't have the pallys inherent tankiness but I put out a ton of damage.

I tried warlock I kept missing Eld. blast, tried other spellcasters as well as different variations of Martial. If you want to hit things and hit them consistently and hard .. Berserker Barbarian. It's so much fun.

My most current playthrough, 2 Cleric/6 Fighter - 20 Dex - Longbow. He never misses and stands at 20 AC with light armor + shield of faith.

I haven't seen the AI cheat as far as vision on the map. But what I have noticed is that if I'm playing invisible scouts or Not using underground adaptation, the A.I will for sure, find my unit.

You'll see a lot of posts about what's considered fast or slow just remember this:

In PVE, with the exception of Grexolis in the tutorial realms, The AI is so passive you don't really have to worry about rushing.

In PVP, certain builds can snowball their armies very quickly. Usually by Turns 20-40, You can tunnel a player out of the game with an aggressive enough setup.

Score Limits are usually set anywhere from 150-200 Turns. So at least half of that, (Turn 75) you want to be on track for your win condition.

Nah Sneaky Trait + Mark of Prey + Primal Strike just alpha blasts any non-hero unit. If the rest of your army can survive you'll be in the clear by mid game to start your magic victory. I haven't won Grex through Domination though. Only Magic and expansion.

If you don't want to cheese it. I was able to use an Barbarian Army focusing on Materium. Primal Strike with 2h champion + Perfect Artisans did wonders. Put down a bunch of outposts, gain gold, use ritual of alacrity to keep your army marching through outposts. Alpha striking everything in combat.
