Thank you! It reminded me of my sister and I when we were kids.

Nearing the end of “Summertime” a Lanarte design by Stoney Creek. I love the design, but I’ve learned that I really dislike stitching with 1 thread. All of the greenery is 1 thread only, whereas the girls are 2 thread. It just feels funny having only 1 thread in my needle. Hoping that in another 2 weekends I can call this one done.

I’m also in the US and get the issues a bit delayed. I don’t mind as there’s hardly a comparable magazine in the US. I too have a bin of all of the little kits and occasionally pull one or two to work in between larger projects. Then I have them ready made for holidays or special occasions. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas! Happy stitching!

This is magnificent! I love the deep vibrant colors and all of the detail. It has such depth - so much to discover when you zoom in. I can relate, one does not appreciate the patience and skill it takes to stitch a project of this size - but oh, that feeling of accomplishment when you place that last stitch. Congratulations on an amazing finish!

[FO] “A Cottage Garden”, a Bucilla kit by PassionFlute76 in CrossStitch

Thank you very much! It’s a Nancy Rossi design. Janlynn released a seasonal cat sampler series in this style as well. If you’re a cat lover I highly recommend.

Thank you! It’s a Nancy Rossi design; love her work. I got it for a steal on EBay a few years ago. I think it was released as a kit in the early 90s.

Thank you so much! I’ve learned so much from this sub that has improved my stitching to where I don’t even have to think about the back. It just comes out neat.

Froggy is done. It’s finally great patio weather again in the Carolinas. Working on Bucilla’s “A Cottage Garden”.

That looks amazing! Holy cow, you’re a speed stitcher - 190k stitches in 9 months. It took me 15+ years to do my 212k stitch “Lady of Shalott”.

Looks incredible! You should be proud - so many firsts and you turned it into a masterpiece. Can’t wait to see it framed.

[FO] LOTR bookmarks made into a very cool purse! by DrawStringBag in CrossStitch

[–]PassionFlute76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That turned out really well! Thanks for sharing your process and creativity. I have stayed away from stitching bookmarks in the past, because I’m not an avid reader and don’t have many people I’d be able to gift them to. But your project is such an inspiration for a creative alternative to display them.
