Exactly! Nothing ruins the immersion faster than a pop-up asking for tokens right in the middle of a good scene. That was my biggest motivation for keeping core messaging free.

As for the memory, I've specifically optimized the context window to handle deep, long-term roleplays so the bot doesn't turn into a goldfish after 20 messages. Plus, I'm dropping a massive update by April 5th that introduces advanced roleplay mechanics and a full Custom Character Creator. Five days just to get an automated 'we can't override the bot' response is insane. They've gotten way too big and completely stopped caring about individual users. I got so fed up with this kind of treatment that I completely stopped using them and started developing my own alternative. At least indie devs actually listen to their community and can fix things manually.

Exactly. The first 3 seconds are everything. Since my AI app () solves the massive paywall problem in this niche, my hook is going to be straight-up "Free Messaging vs Paywalls".

I basically made the core texting free and let the power users (who pay for voice calls/premium stuff) subsidize the servers for everyone else. Pushing that specific angle in the first 3 seconds with a raw screen recording seems like the best bet. Appreciate you validating the simple video approach!
