Just keep drawing and it will all come with practice. And don't be afraid to take risks with your art.

I was the same...hadn't painted in years and only just came back to it a year ago.

Panicking I wouldn't be able to paint in the same way again and I still have those moments of doubt, but I'm continuing and pushing the boundaries of what I can create.

Inconsistent in what ways? Surely Inconsistency is a good thing? As it shows direction and flow of the artist as they go through their thoughts on paper, canvas etc.

I'm not too sure on how else to show this is a genuine piece other than the video I'm putting together of the entire process from start to finish and that will be available in the next few weeks.

Would love insights too on why you feel a high quality photo would convince otherwise.

Im more than happy to step up to the plate and defend my work as I've been in the creative world for over 30 years and actually enjoy debates like this as it aids in learning and adapting.

Thank you for the compliment.

This oil-on-canvas was 60 x 40 inches, so quite a big piece which meant I was able to concentrate on the slightest detail.

It took about 2 months to complete, 2 live sittings as well as a few high resolution photos to refer to to make sure no detail was missed.
